Invasion
John 5 and the Creatures

There are albums that really defies the comprehension of the fans of Metal, and even from Metal writers. This is due the fact that all the musical conceptions and ideas of musicians can be fully understood for another person than the artist itself. It's nothing easy, but to understand JOHN 5 AND THE CREATURES' "Invasion" doesn't need too many efforts. Johnny 5 is a guitarist famous for his shreds and playing with artists as Rick Springfield, Lita Ford, 2WO, David Lee Roth, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Meat Loaf, Paul Stanley, STATIC-X, Alice Cooper, and many others. On this album, J5 is showing his amazing style of shredding his guitar, but the diversity of his technique is really amazing. And the musical work presented here covers an ample range of musical genres, without leaving Rock frontiers.
The sound production of "Invasion" hit the target. All instruments are sounding in a great and clean way, always with the right instrumental tunes for each song. And the whole ambience is clean, but it changes depending on what the song is going to present to the listener. So it's really excellent. All the songs are really very good, but the Industrial/Electronic Music flavor of "I am Johnny 5" (what amazing shreds), the modern Rock heavy weight and solid tempos of "Midnight Mass", the fine melodies presented on "Zoinks!" (the song from the video, and the guitars are amazing due the change of music approach, from Rock to Electronic Music with a snap), the mix between Country Music speed with clean guitar parts inherit from South American native genres presented on "Howdy", the Western music approach of "Cactus Flower", and "I Like The Funk" are fine examples that a new Guitar Hero is born.
