Talent, and the need to be different from other bands is what created this great range of genres that Metal has to offer today. This is the driving force of the style for all these five decades of joy and music. But in the last years, some guys are picking up musical instruments and trying to rebuild the past. Sorry, but the greater part of the bands of this trend are losing their time, because the past is the past, it's written and the future will come. If however you love to be in the past, the best you can do for yourself is to be just a fan, to hear your favorite albums and never create a band, because to sound Old School and have something different to offer is a hard trial. My words can sound a bit harder than needed, but they are true. Listen "Sacrifice", the first album from the trio GRAVEBREAKER from Sweden, and you'll understand what I mean.

Sorry to say, but I heard this same style many times on the 80s and still hear today. But when my heart asks me to do so, to hear such traditional Heavy Metal form, I personally prefer to old ACCEPT, ANVIL or other band from those times. To sound in such a way in our times is some kind of joke with the fans. You can sound incredible to beginners, but to old Metalheads like me, it sounds like an offense to my personal history in Metal. Sorry, but the band lacks of something from their own, something personal, and this album is just a recollection of all clichés we all heard from bands from the past.

The sound quality is the weakest spot of the band, because it's extremely moldy and raw. It's a vain and desperate way to be like we all were on 1982 or 1983, but we are in 2017. Obviously you can understand what they are playing, but it's sounding outdated as I never heard before. The songs... We'll, if these guys could do music without hearing the albums from the past, maybe they could show some talent, but this flood of musical clichés is truly boring and disgusting. There are some good ideas in a few moments, as you can hear on "Overdrive", "At the Gates of Hell", the good melodies of "Violent City", the energy of "Road War 2000" and the power of "Spellbound". But this lack of creative power, of will to be different, this need to be a band from the 80s is annoying, it's disgusting and truly offensive to those that, like Big Daddy here, lived those days. The building collapsed, and they need to be put on the blackboard and and write a million of times (or more) "I'm not a Metalhead from the eighties".
