Reborn from Hatred

Experience plays a pivotal whole on a band's career and music, and no one can deny such a fact. There are bands that learned a lot of things as time passed by, while some titans are living off their pasts (maybe they can be labeled as 'Pimp Metal'). To those who are working in high level and still producing music, the more experienced the band is, the better it'll sound (again: if it isn't pimping itself). It's the case of the Italian trio GORY BLISTER, shown on "Reborn from Hatred". The band works on a trench of Technical Death Metal that is nearer the traditional form of the genre that into something near of what modern bands of the genre are doing. In other words: they're into a more conservative form of Technical Death Metal, using a good and sober technical appeal (and evading exaggerations).
This fact makes their music more easily swallowed by a broader range of extreme Metal fans, for it really is brutal and nasty, full of energy and aggressiveness, with technique being used to make things coherent, and the keyboards parts, clean vocals and some rhythmic shifts only add value to their music. It's full of energy and personality, but what one could expect of a band with more than 30 years of experience on its shoulders? The drummer Gianluca and the guitarist/bassist Raff worked on the production of "Reborn from Hatred", having the Brazilian sound technician Ricardo Borges on the mixing and Peter Brussee on the mastering. All to make things sounds brutal and nasty, but defined and understandable for the fans. It's another point where the trio uses a more actual insight.
The band puts such energy and creative power on their songs that the album sounds balanced in terms of quality. But if one needs a referential frame to start with, taste "Push Out the Venom" (excellent grunts and snarls, along with brutal blast beats, and with hooking guitar parts as well), "Relentless Fear" (again excellent drumming can be heard due the charming rhythmic shifts), "Profound Sedation" (a brutal playing on bass guitar can be heard, creating the perfect link between drums and guitars), "Unexpected Livings" (be prepared for a storm of hooks, even when the band uses sharpened technical moments), "Reborn from Hatred" (a charming melodic sense guides some parts of this song, especially during vocals duets between harsh and clean tunes, and what very good guitar solos), and "Signs from Beyond". But again: all the songs are really excellent.
It's good to see (and hear) a veteran as GORY BLISTER working at such a high level. And unlike those 'pimp Metal' acts, "Reborn from Hatred" is a release that deserves applause and shows a band with much to offer Metal fans.
