Game Zero - W.A.R. - We are Right album cover

Obviously that playing of old Metal and Rock genres demands a great effort from musicians, because as it all is settle on these genres, there's the hard work of trying to sound as you, and not like others. Maybe it's the driving force behind the Italian quartet GAME ZERO. Their album "W.A.R. - We Are Right" is really amazing. Their music is a personal and modern insight on Hard Rock, using some Alternative Rock touches as well: it's charming and catchy, with excellent and accessible melodies, but the dose of aggressiveness and massive weight is something that isn't expected. And the energy that flows from the album is amazing, but the choruses are so hooking that is impossible to stand stopped in the same place as a mummy. There moments that the listener will listen to the same song three, four, countless time before becoming full of it. Honestly, it's truly hard to becoming full of "W.A.R. - We Are Right".

Mixed by Antonio Aronne and mastered by Riccardo Parenti, the sound quality of "W.A.R. - We Are Right" is excellent, binding the hooking 80's elements from Hard 'n' Heavy Metal with modern clarity and aggressiveness. But be sure: everything can be heard clearly, and the instrumental tunes are very good, aggressive and distorted, but in a way that even a child can comprehend. The album is great, with 12 excellent songs (all of them being very good). For a first time on their music, the mix between modern melodies and a solid weight of "We Are Right", some Groove Metal elements that can be heard on the guitars of "Goodbye" (aggressive and greasy, but with an accessible and catchy chorus and it's impossible to resist to), the mastodonic weighty melodies of "You've Got to Move On" and "Don't You" (this one is a version for an old and good hit of SIMPLE MINDS, here presented in a heavier outfit), the smashing and tribal rhythm of "The Stranger", and the deeper introspection shown on "Lying" can give to the listeners a very clear idea of what is waiting for them.

"W.A.R. - We Are Right" is their second release, and it shows two things: the ones who haven't heard to "Rise" (their debut album) must hear it as soon as possible, and that GAME ZERO is really a great and promising name.
