Reborn
Feared
There are times when the courageous ones dare to try something different from what is already being done on Metal music. This is only for those whose destiny has chosen to be great, to become legends, even actually, when Metalheads are becoming entangled with nonsense rules and having their brains eaten by moldy ideas. Moldy corrodes and destroys the efforts done by the bands of the past. Again: there's not such a thing as "to keep the spirit of the 80s alive" or "the magic of Metal must be defended". Sorry, but these rules and ideas are extremely wrong. Luckily for us, we now know a band as the Swedish quartet FEARED that is unleashing a brutal and nasty energy flux on "Reborn", their newest album.
Modern, abrasive, full of different musical influences, sometimes truly introspective, the band is truly violent, but keeping very good melodic lines. It's mix between Thrash Metal and Death Metal that many on Sweden like to do, but FEARED does it in a very personal way. If you're moldy and stand in their way, prepared to be ripped to shreds!!!! The sound quality is really fine. The result of the brutal aggressiveness of their musical work with a clear and heavy sound is truly amazing, filled with an elegant aesthetic touch. It's brutal and aggressive, but totally comprehensible.
It's kind of difficult to speak about their best songs, because there are no best songs. Yes, the album is amazing from the beginning to its last second of music. "Fall of Man" with its outstanding and aggressive technical insight (showing technical and grasping guitar riffs), the abrasive and nasty tempos of "World Eater" (bass guitar and drums are making a fantastic and technical rhythmic mass), the fantastic power surge shown on "Lords Resistance Army" (with some doses of raw groove, and a particular show done by the vocals, using very good and different tunes, from guttural to clean, and then to screamed ones), the fast and thunderous "Our Dying World" (what slashing guitar riffs and very charming melodic solos), the introspective rawness of "The Morgue" (the contrast between clean parts with clean vocals and the brutal ones is amazing, and a clean guitar solo with some whispered vocals is something wonderful), the massive attack of "Breaking the Cycle", the bitterness of the nightmare made music called "My Last Line", the modern Thrash/Death Metal insight of "Changes", the slow and bitter tempos of "OCD" and the final and deep cut called "The Bridge" are proofs that FEARED has no fear to dare or to be different. It's what they really want to be! Buy it right now, and get a sample of how good they are!
But what we could expect from musicians that played on bands as THE HAUNTED, SIX FEET UNDER, DYING FETUS, DÅÅTH, MISERY INDEX, SUFFOCATION, or played as live musicians on bands as CATTLE DECAPITATION, DEVILDRIVER, HATE ETERNAL, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and others?
