Wow, this EP is really great!

At first hearing, the violent and bitter music from Italian quartet EMREVOID can fright you all, dear nephews and nieces, but some good hearings on their EP called "Riverso" will surely change your minds, if you're a fan from extreme Metal.

The first astonishing feature on the EP is that all the lyrics are all on their native tongue, the Italian language. No, it's not strange or something like that, but isn't expected. And their way of making Death Metal is very tasteful, keeping some influences from Black Metal, as well using some good darkened melodies (hidden under their brutal grasp) and harmonic structures not commonly seen on another extreme Metal bands works. With good technique, lots of good guttural vocals, great riffs and a technical rhythmic kitchen, they really produce an earache on those not used to extreme Metal.

The sound production is good, giving weight and enough quality for our ear to understand what these guys are playing, turning all comprehensible. And this shows us that exists a mind behind the band's music, for their musical arrangements and details are not as orthodox as many can think.

Six mass killing songs are presented here, having their greatest moments on "Patibolo" (a brutal and technical song, with very good harsh screams and guttural vocals, a technical and well worked tempo, and the guitars are unleashing very good riffs), the avalanche of brutality of "Il Tuo Disegno" (with a more traditional Death Metal insight on the beginning, but there are technical touches in some moments, and we can hear a very good and solid work done by bass guitar and drums), the short and thundering "Mostro", the excellent "Obbedienzassenza" (with some very good and slow moments in the middle of the brutality). But of course "Riverso" and "Hic et Nunc" are very good songs as well.
