When you know a band from the past since they were beginners, you can say how they evolved and how the band is really amazing, even when commercial success was never reached. This is the case from the UK sextet DEMON, a survivor from the NWOBHM that comes with their new album, the amazing "Cemetery Junction." To the newcomers, I must state a thing: they are not an extreme Metal band. It's the opposite, because DEMON's musical work is based on an excellent and peculiar of Heavy Metal with many influences from earlier Hard Rock in the same vein from URIAH HEEP, bearing fine guitar arrangements, solid work from the rhythmic session, grandiose keyboard parts and excellent vocals (the singer Dave Hill is the only original member left on the band). We can say that the sextet work is another band that could be greater if they were given the right chance. But their musical work is honest, heavy and extremely tasty.

The sound quality is fine, showing very good tunes for each musical instrumental, and he Old School feeling that you can feel filling all the songs comes from the hearts of the band's musicians. These English Demons are really doing an excellent work on "Cemetery Junction", and all the songs are great. But for the lazy fans, we can point as their best moments the following: the excellent catchy energy shown on "Are You Just Like Me? (Spirit of Man)" (having tender musical melodies that are easy to understand, with vocals are excellent, the chorus is great, and the song bears a fine work from keyboards as well) and on "Life in Berlin" (a thunderous work can be heard from bass guitar and drums), the charming melodies of "Turn on the Magic" (where the Hard Rock feeling and some AOR elements are strong, showing good guitars) and "The Best is Yet to Come" (a heavy and excellent song, where vocals are keyboards are doing fine again, with a great dose of musical accessibility), the heavy melodic approach of "Queen of Hollywood", and the perfect mix between weight and tender melodies presented on "Drive" and "Out of Control". Excellent work from DEMON!
