Serenity In Chaos (Reissue)
Defaced Creation
Sometimes, the re-release of some albums really doesn't make sense. Some bands really don't deserve, for they did nothing new or historically relevant album. And it's the case of this re-release of DEFACED CREATION's "Serenity in Chaos". The intention is good, but not the album.
First of all, the band is only the old and good Death Metal in the vein of Florida and Sweden from the 90's, but they really have nothing different from thousand bands from that time to deserve such re-released. It's not bad at all, but it's not something good either. Just the very same recipe used many times before, without a personality.
The sound flowing to our ears is raw, but don't really cause any trouble. It's not so bad (besides the guitars lack a better quality). But the quality is not to blame.
Twelve songs of Death Metal, but none of them really can make the CD a good release. It's heavy and brutal, the band shows a good technique sometimes, but the absence of personality really disturbs. And songs like "Fire Temple", "Kill the Light", "Cannibalistic Feast" and "Enslave the Christians" could be way better than we hear due this.
Hearing such material really makes us all wonder why a band with nothing to offer can have their only album re-released, and good albums like CARNAGE's "Dark Recollections" are claiming to reach a great public...
