Prognostic Negative
Deathblow
And from Salt Lake City, Utah (USA), comes a violent quartet from old and good Thrash Metal, DEATHBLOW, and they really deserve this name, for "Prognostic Negative" is a massive punch of musical aggressiveness in the face!
A very aggressive and clean way of playing Thrash Metal with great doses of melody and technique. This a clear influence from USA Thrash Metal School of bands like EXODUS, ANTHRAX and MEGADETH. But don't get the wrong idea: they're not a clone, but play with their own personality, with clean and aggressive voices, massive and great guitar riffs and melodic solos, excellent rhythmic basis. And they focus their efforts and energy in creating music and a band, not as four individuals wanting to show their personal technique. And it's very, very good.
A very good sound quality flows from the speakers, clean, heavy and dry. Obviously it could be better in some points (especially when we talk about tunes from guitars and snare drum), but it's not some fuzzy mass or something like that. It's clear and heavy, and you'll hear all instruments in separate ways and with quality.
The true power from their songs is some musical arrangements full of energy and not very complicated, but hooking to the point of causing headbanging and lots of neck aches!
Hear the great moments as the fast "Defcon 1" (very good guitar riffs here), the well worked and aggressive "Riddled with Tumors", "Hellbound" (excellent vocals!), the great "Masters of War", and the excellent "Nocturnal Feeders" to get the right idea of what your Ol' Big Daddy here means.
These guys have guts and music to reach the position they deserve, so hear it and have a very good neck aches!
