A lot of Metal fans miss the Black Metal's Second Wave, where some harsh and morbid bands appeared in the underground scene to left the mark in Metal, like old MAYHEM, DISSECTION, ABIGOR, Brazilian MYSTERIIS and many other good names, but hopefully, some bands really keep the old spirit, and brings us with very good works, as the German veterans of DARKMOON WARRIOR, that now comes with their second album, "Nuke 'Em All".

Here, no orchestration is heard, no melodic and complex music and arrangement, but a nasty and cruel Black Metal, made to really oppress the ears of all of those who aren't used to the style, with harsh and intense vocals (and some agonizing clean voices appearing sometimes in the middle of massacre), very good guitar riffs (with some excellent one arising here and there), bass and drums weighting too heavy and keeping the tempos sometimes fast, and other ones more slower and in festering ways.

A very dense and harsh sounding is what we can hear, as the older bands used to do back in 91-94, but in a way that we can hear the instruments with no difficulty at all, and bringing back the old feeling of the 90's to us all (the old Black Metal fans will love this production for sure). The artwork is linked to the music, in a cover very simple to the eyes, but Black Metal needs no sophistication at all to many.

Musically, the ancient spirit of Black Metal is present in every track, but the higher score songs are the very harsh and aggressive "Fuck Off" (with good and nasty vocals and good guitar riffs), the more mid tempo and strong "The Call" (what marvelous guitar riffs and terrorizing clean voices!), the oppressive and with a coffin smell "Black Tongues and Rusty Nails" (slower and catching tempos, really a deep voyage to the dark core of their music), and "Soul on Fire" (where the tempos alters from mid tempos to fast ones).

If you miss a lot the old Black Metal school, here is the answer to all your prayers to Satan.
