Once more: you can't resurrect the past.

You'll never be like bands in any moment in the past history of Metal, because they already did much for the style in the way they did. What is left is to move forward, to go to the future, leaving the past behind. Sorry, but no one invented a time machine for you to go back in time. And there are bands that insist that they can do something more, and they can't. And although the Polish quartet CRYSTAL VIPER does a good work on "Queen of the Witches", again I have that feeling that they would love to play on the 80s...

Sorry, but here I hear only a great amount of musical clichés that I already heard time and time again. Of course they have talent, and some songs of the album are good, but in the great part of time I spent hearing this album, I couldn't barely find a reason to keep listening to it that wasn't to write a review. Nothing more than that, because it is truly boring to hear an album that reminds me of many others I heard before, and in a better shape. One of the good points of "Queen of the Witches" is the sound quality. Yes, because the producer and the ones who worked on mixing and mastering did a very good work, because you can hear and really understand the songs and recognize individually each musical instrument. And the artwork for the album's cover is really amazing. But these features can't save the album, unfortunately.

Very good vocals, talented guitars (both on riffs and on solos), and a heavy rhythmic session are shown on their songs, but the lack of a self-personality is really disturbing. Besides that all, the band shows musical talent on moments on songs as "The Witch is Back", on the hooking tempos of "I Fear No Evil" (besides it's a carbon copy of IRON MAIDEN with some parts of HELLOWEEN), the good arrangements heard on "When the Sun Goes Down" (but again, it's filled with endless musical clichés), the raw energy flux of "Do or Die" (where the band has as a special guest Ross "The Boss" playing the solo), the good work from bass guitar and drums presented on "Flames and Blood", and the good work of vocals and guitars shown on "Rise of the Witch Queen". And even their version for the old classic "See You in Hell", from the English gods GRIM REAPER is not enough to save the album, because when you hear it, you see how desperately this band tries to be a band from the 80s. And they aren't, and will never be.

Sorry, young ones, but you must recognize that you're living in the past. Try to make something different, put life in your musical style, and maybe you'll have a better result in the future.
