Cosmic Rover - Cosmic Rover album cover

In the entire world, one musical genre that is growing up is Stoner Metal/Rock, and even Brazil has their good names. But one name seems to be here to rise above all the others due its creative power and their very good musical insight: the trio from São Paulo COSMIC ROVER, that come to show the world what they are about with their first work, the EP "Cosmic Rover". Due the musical experience of the band's members, we can say that COSMIC ROVER has a half-breed work (a feature from Brazilian Metal scene, mind you all): clearly, it's a Stoner Rock/Metal band, with that filthy and raw form of music, but with Rock 'n' Roll and even Blues influence. So we can say that the band's member times on names like PANZER, REVIOLENCE, LABORATORI and others contributes as different musical influences that enters on their musical in a subjective way.

Produced by Henrique Baboom, one of the greatest differences between COSMIC ROVER and many others is that they use a cleaner insight than the greater part of bands from Stoner Metal/Rock. It sounds organic, spontaneous and really catchy, with great amounts of raw energy, but always with very good instrumental tunes and defined melodies.

This is a four-track EP, with all the songs showing very good moments. "Never Forget" shows heavy and dense slow tempos, with a fine work on the guitar riffs. Straight and expelling tons of raw energy, "Space Motherfucker" is in a trend near classical Rock 'n' Roll, with good vocals (these harsh tunes are really great, fitting on the band's work). Looking for a feeling that reminds us from the 70's, we have "Cosmic Rover", a traditional Stoner Rock song, with very good melodic lines created by the guitars. On "Bright Highway", we can feel the 70's groove and musical weight pulsing during all the song, but with a very good melodic touch. The entire EP can be found on Spotify, so if you're a Stoner Rock/Metal fan, check out "Cosmic Rover" and have in mind that this trio can be what you're looking for.
