In Quantum Mechanics, a conclusion that is usual is that the observer takes part of the experiment, and his views can mold the result. But it's not a sin to think that you can't understand things deeply if you're surrounded by the experimental devices. In music, the same fact happens in the following way: if you're living into a time, you don't have the idea that it will pass, and the music you're hearing then will be in the past, sooner or later. And to German duet COBRAKILL, it's likewise, because their first release, the Demo/EP "CobraKill", shows a passion for a past that is long gone.

Their music is based on German Power/Speed Metal of the 80's, filled with many melodic hooks, great melodies, a simple technical insight, and all those good elements from European Metal School from those days. But to make such form of music today isn't a sin, because their work sounds alive, full of energy and life. Of course isn't 100% right by now, but as a beginner band, they still have a long way to mature, but they're in the right way. The sound quality isn't as good as their musical work demands. It sounds a bit crude than the needed, making the comprehension harder than the needed sometimes. But again: it's a beginner band, without any support from a label, so the final result can be said as something really good. Of course that Marco Brinkmann (producer) and Alexander Stöcke (mixing, mastering) did their best, so the main question is: is the sound quality a consequence of the lack of money and time, or is it something that the band looked for?

"Arena of Sin" has that catchy and aggressive approach from the past, but with a personal energy (and a very good set of guitar riffs). On "CobraKill", some influences from North American Glam Metal bands as MÖTLEY CRÜE and KISS (on their unmasked era) appears on the melodies, and what a solid work from bass guitar and drums (that are session musicians), and what a good chorus. And "Amber Eyes" shows a great influence of North American Glam Metal, even greater than in the previous song, and the vocals are sounding great (but can be better in the future).

"CobraKill", as a first coming, is really a good release, but having a better sound production next time, and maturing a bit more their musical skills, and no one will hold COBRAKILL back.
