Metal Temple. Seems like yesterday when I suggested we should be called like that. It's been almost a decade when a bunch of kids back then, decided to do something unprecedented for the Greek standards.
An online magazine that was run by metalheads, fans, people who were in it for the love of metal alone, with the quality of a professional one. Greece was still running on dialup and ISDN, every local company and record label thought that the internet was merely a tool to get porn faster and easier and unless you were printed press they treated you as fanboys.
2010. MT is one of the most recognized metal online magazines. Being the last one remaining from the original crew, in my eyes it grew from a little bike to a mammoth 18-wheeler, still running on its original fuel; pure fuckin' metal.
People came, people went, everyone did his part. But our major contributors remained you, the readers. And as a gift to you, we decided to work our asses off and step into this new decade of wonders, improve in every aspect what was already great and give you a voice. You can now become a full member of our community, chat with each other, add your comments to our articles, contribute in any way you see fit and who knows; maybe even become an editor of your beloved magazine!
The changes from the old site are too numerous to mention. There are 4 months of intense work behind everything you see here. In order to present the best result, I had to shut myself off friends, work, family, you name it. Transfering all the articles from the old magazine as intact as possible, cleaning up the text and any formatting error was a couple of months alone. Was it worth it? I'll let you be the judge of it but in my opinion, fuck yeah.
I should mention that the magazine has been running under new ownership for a while now, her Dark Highness Elina is the brain behind the graphics, features and the things that will make you go "holy shit" while you look around, I was just the instrument of her sinister plots.
The King is dead, long live the King. Metal Temple begins a new metal order!
