Was Another Voice an album worth the wait by AGNOSTIC FRONT followers? Did it, eventually, satisfy the fan base of these NYHC legends? Whether you'd like to draw your own conclusions or not, listening to Warriors for a dozen of times in just two days, I would recommend you should expect - more or less - the same vibe in this late 2007 release (which will be brief enough, due to the delay in writing this specific review).
The impact of AGNOSTIC FRONT in the worldwide HC/Crossover/Thrashcore scene holds no questions. Being more 'Metal' in 2004's Another Voice CD - hence the Nuclear Blast deal, or vice versa? - it is Warriors that has to clarify things regarding the future 'identity' of this old American band; mostly, to their fan's benefit. AGNOSTIC FRONT normally had 'Thrash' elements in their riffs/grooves but were 90% on the HC side of ideals. And, if a new typhoon of bands like e.g. MUNICIPAL WASTE flirt a little bit with HC sounds it normally is due to AGNOSTIC FRONT's legacy, while the predecessors themselves - in Another Voice, for a start - tended to approach a more 'metallic' crowd.
Enough? There's tons of straightforward riffing, the rhythm section's sound is fat and Miret's vocals bear lots of energy and 'punky' aggression. Of course, the shout-it-out-loud choruses and typical lyrics themes are again here, ideal to create live faves for the crowds. Durations are rather short in secs (as usual) and - even if I did not find a track to fill me up a little bit more (well, except Addiction and For My Family, maybe...) - the whole album has a high-quality level of candid performance and untainted objective. That's NYHC, in any way...
