Violation Wound - Violation Wound album cover

And here are we, with first VIOLATION WOUND album on our hands, having the band's name as title.

Of course some freaks are wetting their paints just because it's the new Chris Reifert's band. Yes, the very same, the drummer from DEATH's "Scream Bloody Gore" and many AUTOPSY's classics (where he sang as well), as well from THE RAVENOUS, ABSCESS and many other projects. But better for you to take care, for "Violation Wound" could be a deception if you're thinking it's like any of these bands he was before.

Here, it's the purest and nasty Hardcore you can hear, in the vein from ancients like DISCHARGE, CHARGED GBH, RATTUS and many others, and Chris is playing guitars and singing, having as partners in crime Joe Orterry on bass guitars and Matt O'Connell on drums. And it's a burst of nasty and dirty aggressiveness in your face, with no complex harmonies or things like this, juts screamed vocals, great riffs and some sickening solos, bass and drums the simple way they can be. Nothing new at all, but it's very good.

The sound production is very dirty, as a Hardcore/Punk Rock band must be, with the sensation of being on a pub full of drunken HC fans on slam dancing. So let's party and slam all night!

Eighteen tracks of HC abuse await your ears, and the songs are shorter than 3 minutes, so it's not boring any time.

"Don't Believe It", "Seeing Scars" (here you can hear musical influences that points from where Thrash Metal came), the nasty and fast "Everywhere is Nowhere", "Disposable Soul", the long "Off the Rails" (it lasts more than 3 minutes, a festival of great riffs and vocals), and the fast and ferocious "Circle of Wounds". But all tracks are fine.

These guys deserve a medal of honor.
