Divination Labyrinths
Kult Of Taurus
Well, as you all know very well, the SWOBM started in two countries at almost the same time: Norway and Greece. And until a certain point, they evolved in a completely different way one from another. And now, appear a heir for old Greek flame: the quintet KULT OF TAURUS, with their first Full Length, "Divination Labyrinths".
They follow the ancient path from Greek Black Metal, but as well gather influences from Norway and from ancients like BATHORY. But they do their music their own way, so it's the old Black Metal with a personal way of playing.
Yusaf Parvez (our long time comrade, Vicotnik, from DØDHEIMSGARD, STRID, VED BUENS ENDE, and other bands and projects) have done the mixing and mastering for the album, so, it's no surprise that it has the old feeling from SWOBM: crude and intense, but not lacking sound comprehensibility.
Their best moments: "Channeling End" (fast and harsh, with fine guitar riffs like a snow storms), the climatic "Tree of Gifts Pt. 1 - Void", and the terror storm of "ΠΤΩΣΗ".
Hear, like it, and buy the CD. Illegal downloads are for sissies.
