To Perdition
Handful Of Hate
It's amazing to see the ancients alive, doing a fine work as this.
For those who don't know, HANDFUL OF HATE is an Italian ancient Black Metal band, who's founded back in 1993, and still on fighting, coming with their new work, "To Perdition".
But they don't try to do something "out-of-date", but it's brutal, fast and aggressive, bolting like Hell itself on our mind and ears, but it's very good piece of music, indeed. Harsh vocals, excellent fast guitar riffs, bass thundering as necessary, but the drums work is phenomenal, being fast as lighting sometimes, and others slower and heavy and an anvil.
A raw and very harsh sound production is what the CD shows, dry and heavy, but of course you'll hear the instruments in their places, with no one of them louder than the other ones. The artwork is fine, and good enough.
Highlights: the extreme and fast ones "To Perdition" (with very good guitar riffs and drums) and the excellent "Cursed be your Breasts" (there are some fine technical moments here and some more morbid riffs), the more dense and climatic "Swines Graced Gods" (even with drumming fast, the riffs are somewhat darkened), the slower and complex "Larvae", "Words like Worms" and the harsh "Feeding Suggerings".
After this true Armageddon, do I need to add anything else?
