In the 80s, many people were asking themselves how things would be in the future, or how things were going to be 10-20 years from then. It’s clear that things evolved, some embraced the news, others chose to stay on a more conservative stance, but everything keeps as good as on those days. And as a proof that a more conservative insight on music isn’t something bad at all (when stays only on music), here is “Damn You All to... Hell”, the new full length of the French trio THE CHRIS ROLLING SQUAD. Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered between February and March 2024 by Fabien Guilloteau at Nomad Audio Studio, the result of the sound production is a rough and organic sonority that resembles a rehearsal (but obviously with a careful mixing and mastering to ensure a very good understanding for the hearers).

The ironic and excellent cover is a fruit of Gustav Hendberg’s work on artwork and design for Rhino Corpse. Musically, one could point that the trio’s music is a form of Punk Rock/Hardcore influenced by UK School, but as long as the hearer became familiarized with the songs, it’ll become clear that in hands is a blend of influences between influences of Rock ‘n’ Roll, filthy Hard Rock (in the vein of MOTÖRHEAD), Psychobilly Rock and Punk Rock, filled with excellent melodies and a simple - yet efficient - technical work (pay attention to the instrumental arrangements to see as the band isn’t naïve as one could think). Energy, excellent melodic hooks, irony and a wild appeal is waiting for you, so listen and enjoy!

“Pendejos 666” (a caustic intro), “Damn You All to Hell”, “Loaded Gun”, “A Van to Load”, “Blind (So Fucking Blind)”, “Headshot 1st”, “Bad Motherfucker”, “Let’s Go and Action”, “Cannonball Holocaust”, “No Shit”, “Drive Me Mad”, “Can You See Me Coming”, “Night Got Me Runnin’”, “‘Til the Day I Die” and “F-Word Song” are songs filled with excellent melodies and hooks, with the band working as a solid unity, with excellent vocals, sharp and hooking guitar riffs (and charming solos), solid and heavy work on bass guitar and drums, and it’s caustic, ironic, lascivious and truly addictive! It’s a matter of hearing it and loving it!

“Dawn You All to… Hell” is an excellent full-length, and shows THE CHRIS ROLLING SQUAD on its finest hour for now. For now, because it seems that these maniacs are able to create an even better release in the future!
