Wings of Steel - Burning Sands (single)
September 29, 2025
WINGS OF STEEL are back with vengeance on the third single “BURNING SANDS” from their highly anticipated album WINDS OF TIME due for independent release on October 17th.
review
Warcoe – Upon Tall Thrones
September 21, 2025
Quintessential Italian Doom Metal. “Upon Tall Thrones” is the third proof point for WARCOE. This is a band with some unholy staying power.
review
Castle Rat – The Bestiary
September 21, 2025
A metal band that would feel as comfortable at GenCon as they would at Wacken Open Air.
review
Hatred's Rise - Echoes Of The Machine
September 20, 2025
HATRED’S RISE has a hell of a sound, but most of all is comprised by a group of very good and experienced players.
review
Arson Charge - A Dying Light
September 20, 2025
I love that ARSON CHARGE has been signed by a record company with the apt name of Anxious & Angry, as that is the main description of what the music on “A Dying Light” is portraying.
review
Atomik Train - Atomik Train
September 12, 2025
Canada has given the world three of my favorite pass times, hockey, drinking beer and eating bacon, and two of the three I am considered a pro. They also know how to rock and roll, so let me put my beer and bacon down as I drop the needle on the latest import ATOMIK TRAIN.

This I Owe – Alchemists
September 12, 2025
Let me take away any doubts; if you like Melodic Heavy Metal with some extra influences thrown in, you might just like what THIS I OWE is bringing on “Alchemists”. This album already was available to the public from 25 February 2025, but now Iron WormHoleDeath have stepped in with their extensive network to help the band to gain international recognition.
review
Wheel Of Time – Asymmetry
September 11, 2025
Progressive Metal of this high calibre and quality needs to be heard by every Prog enthusiast, but also by every Melodic afficionado. The songs are all bloody brilliant, to say the least. The production is clear and transparent, but also very clean. It means that although this is Progressive Metal, the ProgRock fan should also be able to enjoy what WHEEL OF TIME is offering on “Asymmetry”.
review
Hunter – Rebel Angels Rise
September 5, 2025
I have really enjoyed listening to HUNTER on “Rebel Angels Rise”, as it invigorates my own enthusiasm for traditional Heavy Metal.
review
Nefarious - Addicted to Power
September 5, 2025
Thrash Metal is the main ingredient that NEFARIOUS uses to mark their music. but it is not all they use. Nope, you will also get regular Heavy Metal mixed in, but in a way that the Thrash Metal title used will stay upright through it all.
review
The Rods - Wild Dogs Unchained
September 5, 2025
Their eleventh album “Wild Dogs Unchained” hit the streets on 5 September 2025, just one year after the latest one, which is quite fast in today’s market. And again, there is enough to enjoy. In the 52:38 minutes that THE RODS fire their brand of Heavy metal at you there is no choice. You either love what they do, or it just doesn’t rock your boat.
review
Vintersorg - Vattenkrafternas Spel
September 5, 2025
What Vintersorg always had a good knack for is writing good songs that really fit what he is trying to say. And I can tell you that on “Vattenkrafternas Spel” he has been able to do that once again, giving VINERSORG another strong piece of slab with which they hopefully be able to conquer even more souls than they have until now.
review
Animal Rage - Last Standing Man
September 3, 2025
Let me start by saying that ANIMAL RAGE have a lot of courage in how they portray their music. For example, how many bands would be able to put a very much folklore song like “Animals In The Sky” on a record. It might not be Metal, but to my ears it is beautiful.
review
Temtris – Queen Of Crows
September 2, 2025
“Queen Of Crows” offers powerful guitar riffs, great lead guitar solos, a good mixture between heaviness and melodic parts as well as between traditional and modern Heavy Metal elements

Traversus - Navigate
August 29, 2025
Sometimes you like to listen something that isn’t going top blow your brains out, or that will have you on edge all of the time. Then you just want something more light-hearted, but still sounding good. Well, I found something that just fits that bill with TRAVERSUS.
review
Zubzero – Perverseverance
August 29, 2025
I can’t help but express my desire to be able to listen to a whole full-length album of good music of this quality. ZUBZERO have surpassed anything they have done in the past and should be ready to go out into the world and collect the praise that they deserve.
review
Frightmare – Snake Island
August 29, 2025
Singer Brian Miller is also active in the band BURNT OFFERINGS, so if the name rings a bell that would make sense. He also is the only original member in the band. The rest came along on 2020. Well, this FRIGHTMARE album “Snake Island” is more of a compilation that houses the most current releases that the band brought into the world.
review
Temptress - Catch the Endless Dawn
August 27, 2025
A great Old School Metal release from this Italian trio, but a better production is needed on the next time.
review
Mob Rules – Rise of the Ruler
August 26, 2025
MOB RULES has been devastating the eardrums of true heavy metal fans for over three decades. With Rise of the Ruler they show zero intention of stopping anytime soon.
review
Wings of Steel - We Rise (single)
August 24, 2025
A beautiful girl can give you a wink and a smile and get labeled a “tease”, well WINGS OF STEEL is that beautiful girl, and their “tease” is the release of the second song/video off their highly anticipated album. The big difference is that I never got a date with that beautiful girl, but I will get a date with the new album “Winds of Time” set for -self-release on October 15.
review
Iron Savior - Reforged - Machine World
August 21, 2025
And on this third release of the “Reforged” series, the German Poer Metal kings show why they are so respected.
review
Airborn - Lizard Secrets: Part Three - Utopia
August 21, 2025
This quartet is a proof that playing in the old Power Metal can be a great strategy for creating great songs!
review
Ashes - Burning in Flames
August 14, 2025
Wow, what a very good Brazilian Heavy Metal act!
review
Blutgott - Legions Of Metal
August 14, 2025
It always is a real treat when you get to review a release by BLUTGOTT. The reason of that being that you get three albums for the price of one. That does sound strange, but there is always a BLUTGOTT album that is pure Heavy metal in all it’s facets, but you also get a BLOOD GOD and a DEBAUCHERY album.
review
Rise Of The Wood - Discharge
August 14, 2025
Let me start off with a bit of history first. In 2015 in the province of South Holland in the Netherlands a group of musicians got together and started a new band, which they baptised as RISE OF THE WOOD. And yes, if you are of a dirty mind, that could be exactly why this name was chosen.
review
Black Water Rising - The Edge
August 12, 2025
I wouldn’t call myself a Stoner Rock lover or connoisseur, but I do love old fashioned Rock and Metal, and even with the contemporary sound that is to be found on “The Edge” I hear enough that makes me travel back in time when everything was done manually, all those expensive and complicated gadgets weren’t available.
review
Ashes of The Sun - Gods With Machines
August 9, 2025
Well, let me first off tell you that this is not Extreme Metal in any way or form. No, on “Gods With Machines” you will hear simple Heavy metal and Rock, intertwined with slower and more emotional musical parts to heighten the diversity and widen the range of musical paths travelled.
review
Avalon - We Got This Idea (Reissue)
August 6, 2025
This boosted reissue from this North American Heavy Metal act is justified by the quartet's music, indeed.
review
Void - Forbidden Morals
August 4, 2025
Musically there is one thing for sure; if you like it straight forward without any side-tracking you should skip “Forbidden Morals” as it is like an ADHD patient that has consumed too much caffeine.
review
Martyr - Dark Believer
August 4, 2025
After their very impressive 2022 album “Planet Metalhead” they have more inspiration and now are giving us “Dark Believer”, their sixth studio album in total. And if you have heard or do own any of their former albums, I can put your mind at ease, as MARTYR have taken off where they left it all last time
review
Reinforcer – Ice And Death
August 4, 2025
“Ice And Death” is a traditional Heavy Metal, album and it offers solid guitar riffs, catchy and at times dark melodies, and excellent lead guitar contributions and solos
review
Divni San - Dreamlike Tales
August 1, 2025
What’s in a name. I just can’t envision what DIVNI SAN should mean. If you look it up on your AI, it will tell you that it comes from the Slavic languages and means something like Marvelous Dream. What I can tell you is that it is a Heavy Metal band from Brussels, Belgium and was founded in 2021 by ex-members of MIDRANGE.

July 24, 2025
This Canadian Heavy/Power Metal act presents a good work, but needs some improvements in the future.

King Witch – III
July 21, 2025
“III” is another impeccable offering from KING WITCH, unsung heroes of the Doom and Heavy Metal scene.
review
Angel Of Damnation - Ethereal Blasphemy
July 16, 2025
It's a case of 'the-cover-isn't-telling-the-truth', because here you'll find a very good Doom/Heavy Metal release.
