Species – Changelings
September 11, 2025
There is no two ways about it; this is good. Musically you just can’t fault SPECIES on “Changelings”. They have their brand of Progressive/Technical Thrash/Death Metal down like a pro.

Kingdom - Primeval Cult Of Strength In The Womb Of Suffer
September 8, 2025
Even though most of the time you can’t understand what Death Metal bands are grunting about, KINGDOM makes it even harder by using their mother tongue when vomiting their lyrics through my speakers. And I applaud that, as it does make it easier for the artist to properly express what they intend to say. Or in this case, grunt.

Demiurgon - Miasmatic Deathless Chamber
September 5, 2025
And even though the music on “Miasmatic Deathless Chamber” is so encroaching and effective in heaviness and intensity, you never get the feeling that DEMIURGON is overdoing it, is playing above or out of their league. You always have the sensation that they are well within their comfort zone.

Pilgrimage - From Amber To Sun
August 26, 2025
On “From Amber To Sun” the band has just over 48 minutes, divided over eight songs, to make you take notice. And musically the band have it all thought out. The songs are all on a proper level, have just the right elements to be called Doom Metal, but also offer enough variety to prevent you from feeling that you are constantly listening to the same song over and over.

Ursawrath – Emergence
August 9, 2025
How high I feel that URSAWRATH can climb. I really have no idea. They haven’t been together that long (I think), and if they can produce this just two years after their original demo, they might have a future.

Pulpit Vomit - Hospital Lens
July 22, 2025
What surprises me most is that, except for the opening song, I was quite at ease with all the music on offer here. It might be an Extreme Metal album, but I feel that “Hospital Lens” has a lot going for it in the short time it has to impress.
review

Horror Of Horrors - Rust, Flesh and Dust (Reissue)
July 16, 2025
“Rust, Flesh and Dust” was not expected at all in 2017, as HORROR OF HORRORS weren’t active at that time. But after listening to this album, I must admit that I am glad that they did release this one, and that I am equally happy with VIC Records for giving this one a second chance.
