Injector - Endless Scorn
March 12, 2025
INJECTOR varies the heaviness and speeds from ultra speed to mid-tempo, and they do all of that just at the right times, making you on your toes. Your attention span doesn’t get the chance to tone itself down. Let alone diminish. Once you think it gets predictable, they throw another positive spanner in the works.

Infested Angel - Threnodies to Eternal Despair
January 21, 2025
All in all,
INFESTED ANGEL
’S “
Threnodies to Eternal Despair
,” is an early year surprise for me and a very solid debut. I will definitely be looking forward to what else they can do!

Distant Past – Solaris
December 2, 2024
Altogether I recommend this album on two fronts: First for giving true homage to an often-forgotten sci-fi pioneer; Second, for sticking to their mission of delivering solid metal recalling the glorious distant past.

Nulled – The Traitor
April 13, 2024
It could be “The Traitor” is too ambitious for a full-length album and an EP may have sufficed. But then again, if Deathcore is your jam, then it just might be the album of the year for you.

Bloody Falls – Amartia
March 30, 2024
For a band who largely relies on only one main ingredient for their brand of Melodic Death Metal, I did find the album nearly exactly as described: Old school meets contemporary. Although my head is still intact, it did take a bit of a beating.

Heleven – New Horizons Pt. 2
March 1, 2024
The bulky and cumbersome side of the album is as heavy as anything that I have heard this year. But the lighter, more ambient side has some very strong melodies. The way that the band connects them can be sharp and unorthodox, but that it what makes the album provocative.

Reveal - Still Alive

This sextet is still alive after the andemic, and is back for another Heavy/Power Metal assault!

Astral Experience – Clepsidra
November 22, 2023
Although many of the songs are heavy with keyboards and even piano, I am a lover of all things keys. The album was solid, and the production outstanding, but the band could work on their diversity a bit, as many of the songs were very close to one another in length.
review
Six Burning Knives – The Oath
November 21, 2023
It could be inexperience, or it could be being afraid to take real chances. The band is talented but needs to work in more diversity into the album. As it stands, it just sounds like another Nu-Metal/Core band that listeners just don’t need more of.
