Biohazard – Divided We Fall

And as far as I can determine, the compositions that you find on “Divided We Fall” is what I was hoping for on a new BIOHAZARD album. They stand out, they have form, they are hard hitting, direct and if you ask me bloody impressive.

Their first album “Follow The Blind Man” was reviewed by me for Metal Temple when it was released in 2023. And the conclusion was quite clear; I thought it was a good album, but that the band needed to grow in the songwriting department. Well, they apparently have listened to my advice, and although they’re not there yet, the tunes that I get to hear on “Apolitical Ecstasy” are quite the improvement.

Dead Heat - Process of Elimination

I like is that the songs will have you thrashing around at some times, moshing the room when needed and headbanging until your neck snaps the rest of the time. Oh, and if you have a chandelier, who knows, you might feel the need to using it to swing about like Tarzan does.

On the contrary, even though it does sound that way, when you really listen you hear and experience all the twists and turns, the breaks, the changes in tempo, while all the time being able to maintain that Extreme Heaviness and intense atmosphere.

Let me take away any doubts; if you like Melodic Heavy Metal with some extra influences thrown in, you might just like what THIS I OWE is bringing on “Alchemists”. This album already was available to the public from 25 February 2025, but now Iron WormHoleDeath have stepped in with their extensive network to help the band to gain international recognition.

BANDERSTADT is able to give you quite varied and good quality songs that have depth, are full of soul but in the end are pure Metal that moves, that enthrals the way it should. The Folk aspects in the music add a beautiful layer that has me very much in awe of “Red” as an album and therefore with BANDERSTADT as a band.

And I applaud that, as it does make it easier for the artist to properly express what they intend to say. Or in this case, grunt.

“He Who Kills” is Brutal Death Metal, but still houses a lot of those small moments of subtlety, even if they sometimes only last a second. And I am glad they have done that, as it gives the Death Metal attack on the senses a little more depth, a tiny amount of emotion that isn’t rage, anger or violence.

Their eleventh album “Wild Dogs Unchained” hit the streets on 5 September 2025, just one year after the latest one, which is quite fast in today’s market. And again, there is enough to enjoy. In the 52:38 minutes that THE RODS fire their brand of Heavy metal at you there is no choice. You either love what they do, or it just doesn’t rock your boat.

I have to conclude that musically HEARTKILLER have their ducks in a row. And even though you aren’t able to understand one word that is being sung, this does sound good. You don’t have to worry about bad pronunciation or dictation. Instead, you just get to enjoy the atmosphere and character that the voices used and instruments played are expelling through your speakers.

What surprises me more than anything is that with what THERIAC has laid down on tape and given to the Thrash Metal world I am rather confused as to why the band never got a record deal during those years that they were active. The quality of the songs is more than adequate, the way they play their Thrash Metal is eclectic, or if you will, chaotic.

Singer Brian Miller is also active in the band BURNT OFFERINGS, so if the name rings a bell that would make sense. He also is the only original member in the band. The rest came along on 2020. Well, this FRIGHTMARE album “Snake Island” is more of a compilation that houses the most current releases that the band brought into the world.
