Pythonic – Decomposition
February 4, 2026
PYTHONIC does command respect. The way they have approached the music is impressive. I hear Metalcore, I get Metal Hardcore, I receive Groove metal and I hear Heavy Metal. Sometimes one of the four, at other times two or more of the four ingredients on offer. And what is even more impressive; they work well together.

Frozen Factory - Apocalypse Inc
February 3, 2026
The eclectic mix of styles and musical directions actually works on “Apocalypse Inc”, the fourth album by FROZEN FACTORY. Somehow, they have adopted the ability to make all the different angles come together in a way that the blending is almost unnoticeable, but still very much present when you really take a listen.

Equilibrium – Equinox
February 3, 2026
When I saw this on the to do list of METAL TEMPLE, the combination of musical styles had me intrigued. That is why I requested this review as mine. I like some Metalcore, just as I love some Folk Metal, but they have to get it right to get me really going. The question that I will be asking myself here is whether EQULIBRIUM has the ability to mix them in such a way that it will blow me away.

Borrower – Killerdemons
February 3, 2026
BORROWER and their record companies Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records state on the EPK that they play Progressive Metal, and I’ll admit that this genre is part of their sound, but I need to add a bit of Alternative Rock, a bit of Sludge and a smidgeon of Industrial as well.

review
Imperial Domain – Portentum
February 2, 2026
I have to say that IMPERIAL DOMAIN has that undefinable trait which makes you like what they do. What is remarkable is that it doesn’t matter if what the band is good or not.
review
Red Sands – Evocations
February 2, 2026
As far as “Evocations” goes i believe that this band is at tis best when they let their Metal hearts speak, with or without Symphonic and/or Epic elements.

XIII Doors - Into The Unknown
February 2, 2026
Just because I showed up fashionably late to the XIII DOORS party (album dropped February 2025) doesn’t mean the lights are off and the keg is empty. Oh contra ire, this party is just warming up. So grab a drink, snag an appetizer and squeeze into the mosh pit as we drop the needle on “Into The Unknown”.

Defecto - Echoes Of Isolation
January 25, 2026
I do feel that the music that DEFECTO plays on “Echoes Of Isolation” has all the hallmarks of a band that is letting loose, giving it their all. I therefore have to admit that for the first time in 2026, I am smitten. What a brilliant treat this is.
review
Starlight Ritual - Rogue Angels
January 25, 2026
The vocals have surprised me. At times Damian Ritual sounds a lot like the late Paul Di’Anno, mainly due to him having the same kind of vibrato, but also because on some songs the vocal lines sound as if they could have straight out the deceased frontman’s pen. But when he goes shrill and high he has a bit of Dave Mustaine in his voice as well.

Naraka - Born In Darkness
January 21, 2026
If you read the Metal Encyclopaedia site they play Melodic Death Metal. Well, that is very narrow, if you ask me. What NARAKA does will have you going from Gothic Rock via Movie Metal up and until the mentioned Melodic Death Metal. I understand that the net is cast wide by these descriptions, but they do fit the bill.

Dead Sun - This Life Is A Grave
January 21, 2026
If I had to classify in what range of Death Metal to put “This Life Is A Grave” it would actually be easy listening, as the level of simplicity, accessibility and ease to your ears this is one of the easiest albums I have ever listened to in this particular musical genre.

Weed and games and memes and nostalgia! All of these words properly describe the vibrant death metal outfit Bonginator.
review
Garde - Harbinger of Revenge and War
January 20, 2026
Viking metal... A niche genre popularized by the efforts of Bathory, Moonsorrow, and literally any other Nordic black metal band that wanted to get a little folky and LARP-y.

Olde Outlier – From Shallow Lives to Shallow Graves
January 20, 2026
“From Shallow Lies to Shallow Graves” is full of filth, very sharp edges, and all the metal you can eat.
review
Rozario - Northern Crusaders
January 19, 2026
The sound that ROZARIO brings to the table is very interesting The musical genre might be Heavy/Power Metal, the sound they use can easily be seen as contemporary, but it also has one foot very clearly in the eighties.
review
Vitamin X - Ride The Apocalypse
January 19, 2026
As the songs on “Ride The Apocalypse” are rather short, you might assume that they are lacking a good start, a solid body and a proper ending. Well, think again. VITAMIN X doesn’t only know how to give you a good time, they also have mastered the writing of good songs that have something to say in the short time they last.
review
Wreck-Defy - Dissecting The Leech
January 19, 2026
WRECK-DEFY sounds an awful lot like an unleashed version of OVERKILL, with the addition of some “Slave To The Grind” era SKID ROW. Let that sink in for a moment.

Obelisk - Brushed By Darkness
January 18, 2026
Musically OBELISK are a bit of Electronic Rock mixed with Alternative Music and sometimes Industrial Metal. Let me warn you; “Brushed By Darkness” definitely is not a typical Metal album. OBELISK does require you to cast your net a whole lot wider.

Dymytry Paradox - Born From Chaos
January 18, 2026
What is immediate is the feeling that even though this might be a debut album for DYMYTRY PARADOX, these are definitely not newbies at playing this kind of music. This is intense, this is energetic, this is enticing.

Assignment - With The End Comes Silence
January 18, 2026
Musically this is sandwiched between some subtle Melodic Metal and pure unadulterated Heavy Metal. You will hear the band bouncing from one to another and back with great ease, giving the music on “With The End Comes Silence” a versatility that avoids you getting bored in that respect.
