Bull of Apis Bull of Bronze – The Fractal Ouroboros
March 22, 2024
As a fellow human who I believe is on the right path in life, I am 100% in agreement with their message. I have seen the destruction that others cause marginalized groups in the world, especially so called “religious” people. Beyond that, the music was fantastic. You can hear the anger and pain reflected in the music, and also the resolve. This was an album that a person with a conscience won’t soon forget.

Occult Kenji – Of Gods and Ancestors
September 21, 2025
This was a solid listening experience for me, and the themes of the album were easy to digest, and were reflected well in the music. The band’s musicianship was strong, and you can tell that they put every bit of passion they have for their music into the album.

…And Oceans – The Regeneration Itinerary
March 21, 2025
At its core, it is a raging beast of Black Metal fury—relentless tremolo-picked guitars, battering drums, and vocals that sound like they are being torn from the depths of something primal and wounded. But beneath that seething chaos, there is something else—a hidden world of nuance, melody, and experimentation that refuses to let the album settle into predictability. For those who crave Black Metal that is not just an assault on the senses but a journey through the abyss, this album delivers…and then some. This is a definite early contender for album of the year.

Ottone Pesante – Scrolls of War
September 6, 2024
One thing about the album is abundantly clear…their approach to their music is both unique and personal. Their musicianship is strong, but one thing that I always struggle with this type of uncommon sound is being able to find an audience that would appreciate them. With a band this artistically free, that is best left up to each listener.

Kevin Schuhmacher & Brent Barker - (Book Of Numbers)
August 17, 2021
It has been a while since such a tremendous passion for creating music by two musicians has been evident, at least for yours truly. Such a partnership, a collaboration, no less than friendship, between two spirits, burning minds that think alike, now that is the essence of creating music. The newly generated band, Book Of Numbers, which has ties with a number of profound tributes to Black Sabbath, Dio, Ozzy and more, created by Kevin Schuhmacher and Brent Barker, is a revamp of classic Doom Metal at its best. Steinmetal had a great talk with both musicians about the band's new album "Magick", released by Pride & Joy Music, and boy they quite stories to tell in such enthusiasm.
