Walking in His Works
Beannachd Leibh
This album is a study in contrasts…a deliberate, masterful exploration of extremes that weaponizes the ferocity of black metal and tempers it with a surprising, almost defiant sense of melody. It’s a manual for how opposing forces can coexist, clash, and ultimately elevate one another. In a genre often praised for its singularity of vision, this record dares to explore the duality within. It’s a triumph of arrangement, mood, and purpose—a rare black metal release that demands as much reflection as it does surrender.
Souls
Scardust
It’s apparent to me that the band is centered around their vocalist, as many bands are. She has a special voice though…one that doesn’t come around very often, and the band is excellent at supporting that voice.

Grizzly
Slaughter To Prevail
This intelligent slab of brutality was presented with sleek production, which I am always a fan of, because it helps the listener with all of the nuances. Being unfamiliar with the band prior to this review, I can see why they have so many fans and how well the music would translate to live performances.
The Autumnal Decline and Hermetic Maturation
Embers of Ouroboros
Overall, the album was decent, but nothing special. The production was pretty bad in terms of the level of muting that was done, and it didn’t really present anything new to the growing genre of Black Metal.
Agreement
Fermentor
Overall, this was a solid listening experience. Some of the songs however were too short to really get much of a handle on, but the longer ones carried on just enough to make an impression. It just sounds to me like some jamming fun between two buddies.
Necromante
Mortalha Negra
A very good mix between Old School Black/Thrash Metal, Thrash Metal and others on this Ep of this Brazilian maniacs.
Maze Runner
Master Spy
This Canadian Heavy/Power Metal act presents a good work, but needs some improvements in the future.
Broken Branches and Torn Roots
Loathfinder
If you need references of what means Doom Black Metal or Blackened Doom Metal or any other label you can think of on this genre, this very good release is enough.
The Ancient Gaping Mouth
Hexella
Black Metal + D-beat elements = Black 'n' Roll, and this quartet balances this equation in a great way.
Beyond What Eyes Can See
Haxprocess
A very good Technical Death/Thrash Metal release of a promising band.
Ultimo Mondo Cane
Golem Of Gore
Honoring the legacy of Lucio Fulci and Mario Bava, these Italian slashers unleashed their Goregrind fury on avery good release.
Medley Of A Life
Mihrax
Overall, it was bit challenging to find the overall vision in the album. At times, I thought I had it, and then it shifted once again. The album has potential, and I would love to hear more from the band.
Through Shadows
Born of Osiris
This album is a hybrid beast forged in the pressure chambers of heavy electronica, bone-shattering djent riffs, and absolutely deadly harsh vocals. It’s relentless, groove-wrapped aggression from start to finish, but beneath all the sonic violence lies something even more surprising: melody, precision, and control. Melody is also key. The contrast makes the heaviness heavier, the electronics colder, the brutality feel earned. It’s not a constant presence, but when melody arrives, it cuts through the chaos like light through smoke.
A Dark Poem Part I: The Shores of Melancholia
Green Carnation
This album breathes, pauses, and lingers, inviting the listener into a quieter space where every note feels purposeful and every silence says just as much as the sound. It is carefully crafted, emotionally resonant experience that speaks softly, but hits with stunning force. The band doesn’t try to impress with scale; they open themselves to being felt. And in doing so, they create something that doesn’t just sit in the background, but gets under your skin in the quietest, most honest way.

Wretch
Pestilential Shadows
This was a solid album. Although a good deal of it was steeped in the history of the FWOBM, there was enough experimentation to warrant a good grade without it coming off the rails altogether.
Hospital Lens
Pulpit Vomit
What surprises me most is that, except for the opening song, I was quite at ease with all the music on offer here. It might be an Extreme Metal album, but I feel that “Hospital Lens” has a lot going for it in the short time it has to impress.
Port Inspiro
Heathen's Eye
HEATHEN’S EYE needs to change their current social status from a Project into Real Band. Keep the Melodic Metal association, but most of all, stay together and keep on doing what you are doing now.
Gods of Tomorrow
Gods of Tomorrow
What does help when you play Melodic Metal is having a good singer, and in that respect GODS OF TOMORROW doesn’t need to think back or reconsider, as Felipe Del Valle has a very pleasant voice that is capable of enhancing just those emotions that the music is asking for.
Irrlicht
Eden Circus
If one thing is clear for ma as the reviewer, it is that EDEN CIRCUS has managed to put ten very impressive songs on “Irrlicht”.

Shadecrown
Melodic Death Metal has always thrived in contradiction, and this album stands as a towering example of just how profound that tension can be. It roars with the primal force the genre is known for, but beneath the surface lies something far more nuanced: melody that cuts deep, and somber tones that linger long after the last note fades. t doesn’t soften death metal — it elevates it. The band understands that melody isn’t a compromise, and that sorrow can be as heavy as any riff. It's time to start mentioning this band with the heavyweights of the genre.
Blood Moon Sacrifice
Margantha
MARGANTHA, Black Metal trio from Finland and Italy, mix two of my favorite things with their debut EP, “Blood Moon Sacrifice”—Black Metal and horror.
III
King Witch
“III” is another impeccable offering from KING WITCH, unsung heroes of the Doom and Heavy Metal scene.
The World That Never Was
Night’s Edge
Overall, this album showed a lot of promise. The best part was how they fused a heavy sense of emotion in the music. You can hear it, and feel it, and they don’t hold back.
Mundo Caos
Obediencia Cero
"Mundo Caos” is a good modern Thrash Metal delivery with traditional elements. Key features of the release are the guitar riffs, the solos, and the aggressive and intense vocals
Mind Trap
Inhuman Condition
“Mind Trap” is a good mixture of traditional Death Metal and Thrash Metal. The melodies are grim, and the fast Thrash Metal inspired parts offer aggression and intensity to the sound
Doomsday Profit
Doomsday Profit
The best part of the album was the bass work. It wasn’t a bad album by any stretch, it was just too plain…too one sided for me. Doom Metal can be very vibrant, and quite exciting, if done the right way. This album just didn’t get off the ground for me, save for that final song, which was excellent.

Øltreluce
The melodies on the album are glorious in their defiance. Like streaks of golden light cutting through storm clouds, they emerge through tremolo lines, layered harmonies, and swelling, mournful leads. In many moments, it feels less like the darkness is being accompanied by beauty, and more like it’s being challenged by it. Devastating in its weight, but luminous in its execution, it pulls you into shadow, only to show you how much light still lives there. It’s a breathtaking storm where melody triumphs not by avoiding the darkness, but by illuminating it.
Hesitating Lights
Floating
Built on a death metal foundation that’s both precise and primal, the record refuses to remain in one form for long. Instead, it stretches into progressive terrain, dives into melodic undercurrents, and thrives on one core ingredient: tension…the kind that simmers, builds, and transforms. The listener is never allowed to fully settle. Every moment begs the question: what’s coming next? A thinking person’s apocalypse.

A Soulless Drive
Hilltops Are For Dreamers
Even being able to put together a three-song EP tells a lot about the band’s perseverance in the record industry, which to quote Gene Simmons,” is chaos. It wasn’t bad per se, it just failed to excite me as a listener. The vocal harmonies were probably the best part of the album, and the band has a strong sense of musicianship. The album just fell a bit flat.
