Zimmers Hole - Legion Of The Flames album cover

After their 1999 debut album Bound By Fire, Zimmers Hole strike back with Legion Of Flames. This is a very strange and weird album, including 20 songs, recommended only for fans of the extreme metal music scene.
Extreme meaning : short and fast songs, mostly brutal vocals but you can also find more straight in some specific parts, the music is a mix of death, thrash core and grind metal. The result of all this sometimes sounds good and sometimes bad. I have the feeling some songs are there to make noise (Gaysong !!!), without a reason or target.
Don't be surprised when hearing some riffs remind you Metallica or AC/DC. Those guys are very influenced by them and from a lot of old school bands. There is even a complete cover version of This Flight Tonight by Nazareth. Highlights of this release are : The Hole Is The Law, Death To The Dodgers Of Soap, Re-Anaconda and Gender Of The Beast.
The only thing that is nearly to perfect is the production which is heavy, loud and clear. Zimmers Hole have the talent and they can do better than this album. They don't really impress me and I think this release will please only fans of the extreme nature.
