Unleash The Fury

Has anyone counted how many songs are included in the new release of one of the last action heroes of the six-string princess? Damn, it seems that Yngwie has indeed unleashed his composing abilities since I hold all of his recordings and I never recall him including so much material in just one album. Thumbs up for Mr. Malmsteen being so open handed with his thousands of fans around the world for the first time.
Lots of people say Malmsteen is this or Malmsteen is that. Excuse me but I thought you were buying albums just because you liked the music and not because you were interested in how many times a guy has attempted to kill his mother in law. I hear people say Vai is this or Satriani is that. Those musicians are outstanding, geniuses in my opinion, but they have nothing to do with Metal. On the other hand Yngwie has served our music for many decades, releasing a series of albums ranging from amazing (Marching Out / Trilogy / Facing The Animal) to very good (Fire & Ice / War To End All Wars). So shut your trap - Yngwie is a METAL guitar hero and if you don't like it then go and live in a parallel dimension where Britney Spears plays better drums than Portnoy or something like that.
In its 72 minutes (!!!) running time, Unleash The Fury includes everything a Malmsteen fans longs for. Furious / bombastic anthems. Mid tempo, groovy parts. Bluesy / dirty tracks and many, MANY instrumental songs (four to be more precise)! It also includes solos. I'm pretty sure you saw that coming, right? I recall an interview where Yngwie was asked why he constantly plays solos live. His answer was absolute: people come to my show to see me playing guitar. And has anyone ever had the slightest suspicion on who's the boss in this band?
Malmsteen has to be the person that holds the world record of lineup changes. But through those changes he has managed to collaborate with many outstanding musicians. The current lineup includes the amazing Dougie White on vocals and an old friend of Malmsteen - Patrick Johanson on drums. The production must probably be one of the best Malmsteen has had on an album, right? I can't say the same thing about the artwork and is it my idea or are the pictures displaying him several pounds thinner?
All in all Unleash The Fury is another great release of this guitar virtuoso that will make all his fans very happy. Invest with no hesitation.
