Wülfhook - The Impaler album cover

The disc opens with "The Impaler" with a grim introduction to guitar fingerings referring to celtic music, followed by guitar riffs and performed with easy to be absorbed, the vocalist has a range of notes already extremely handsome face. We see in WÜLFHOOK a band that is worthy of jargon "get coming." The guitar solos tuned in well with the harmonization of the entire music context. It is remarkable the quality of the band explored this song.

The second song, "Brutal Nightmare", starts with a "headbanging", those with well harsh guitar riffs harmonized with a vocal that fills all the music context. The compositions are well structured together with the instrumental band, which falls well in the ears in the categories: rhyme, melody and bring the necessary weight to the music without escape the heavy metal roots with strong influences of power metal.

So far "Through The Darkness" is music with major influences from power metal to disk, with an extremely focused on the achievement of countertenor vocal, that values and gives life to song. It is the WÜLFHOOK, an extremely new band, but still managed to realize that they "are here to stay." And they are managing to fill the given space with a quality sound and searching for elements of other styles in metal and bringing his music.

In the song "Bridge Burner" we can see the versatility of the band seeking more vocal and instrumental line seen in Traditional Heavy Metal bands, including having noticeable influences from JUDAS PRIEST, you can see on each element a bit of inspiration from them in this song. And analyzing vocalist separately from the whole context, you can see that the potential of his voice. Guitar solos bringing a strength and power of music, and to complete the snarling riffs ending with Jeff "Sling" Schlinz's vocals very well embedded with the backing vocals very much in tune with everything else.

In "Samara's Well" and "Eternal" we have few variables that are distinct from the rest of the album has run so far. But without losing the sound quality and virtuosity that promises to deliver the band.

With "Sacrifice" have a guitar fingering and melancholy and beautiful bringing a darker air to the beginning of the song, followed by full speed of guitar chords and vocals that fits perfectly in the song.

Already disc finalization of time with "Atomic Punk" is the typical music to lift the audience a show to finish honorably the show.

Generally speaking it's a good album and the band despite very recent leaves nothing to be desired. Only one caveat regarding the work that is the cover art that although bringing harmony with the band's name, the design features are grotesque and rustic, not printing exactly the rich detail of the musical job well done by the band. I also think that because it is a band that has strong influences of power metal would be interesting to the ears of fans who were further explored the "ballad song"

Fans of GRAVE DIGGER, GRIM REAPER and even JUDAS PRIEST to watch these guys, it's worth!<
