Kill to Live
Wolfbrigade

This is a beautiful surprise. The thing is, I like the fact that the Swedish real-world, brute-force, political Hardcore Punk band WOLFBRIGADE has recorded a live album in their own Wolfden Studios, which they named "Kill To Live". They then release it in conjunction with the EP "Hostile Wasteland", which is the next review along on the Metal Temple site, and also written by me. These two releases have actually been released together by Metal Blade Records, in order to celebrate the thirtieth birthday of the band. And I have stated this in the other review as well; musically they are the real live Punk version of MOTÖRHEAD whilst working together with some Thrash Metal influences.
After having heard the "Hostile Wasteland" first, I was intrigued and wished to know and find out whether the band has always made impressive music. Let me state that "Kill To Live" takes away any doubts in that direction. Every song that has been recorded sounds strong, and for 27:33 minutes you have no other choice than to immerse yourself in the surroundings of WOLFBRIGADE and their real-world, brute-force, political Hardcore Punk. And even though this is short and bloody Heavy, it also is rather impressive. My adoration goes up one notch when I realise that these are live recordings, and that the only conclusion I can make is that WOLFBRIGADE is the kind of Punk band that I would love to go and see perform live. If "Kill To Live" is anything to go by, with the energy and power that is radiating off these recordings I can't see the band getting to a full hour of being on stage. If they would attempt to do so, they might die of exhaustion and excessive adrenalin levels.
You know what, it gets so bad that after having only listened to "Kill To Live" I am letting my tiredness get to me and I feel that I have the need to slow down and take a break before finishing this review. I don't know if it is so, but I feel that if you are able to survive a live show of WOLFBRIGADE without the need for extra oxygen now and again, you are a world class athlete. I therefore suggest that the albums of this band come with a warning; listen responsibly, don't overindulge. It might be bad for your heart rate, physical condition and stress levels. Just so you know.
