WIZARD'S BEARD is an English band from Leeds brought out their Debut album "Pure Filth" in February2011. This year they released the follow up "Four Tired Undertakers" through Altsphere Productions. An album raised by screaming and the sluggish pace inside a Doom / Death Metal atmosphere.

Have been amazed about how many Death Metal bands there are, but also have been amazed how many bands did manage to find their own way inside the genre. Same goes for WIZARD'S BEARD. Their added dragging doom sound gives their album "Four Tired Undertakers" an extra dimension and so does their heavy fat bass sound throughout the album. They had a quest to make their music sound more dirty and slow and that's to hear inside this album.

"Four Tired Undertakers" does sound to me like screaming dead tired and having to move on anyway. No matter how unfair all seems and no matter how tired and in pain, live goes on and so do they. Dragging and screaming, but still moving and doing what has to be done.

WIZARD'S BEARD did put down "Four Tired Undertakers" with only seven songs on it, but still managed to fill almost an hour, meaning that they've adjusted the length of the songs to suit their style. Their endless long dragging on, screaming, angry, dirty and lethargic sound does come more to their right this way, without making the entire album sound endless.

"Four Tired Undertakers" is not better or lesser than their debut album "Pure Filth". It's a follow up and if you're into this genre they are worth a couple of spins, since this album can carry the weight of the repeat button.
