Witches Of Doom - Obey album cover

Brandishing a heavier sound than most Doom Metal bands in circulation, WITCHES OF DOOM have established themselves as a group with a distinct sound uncommon of others in this realm. Their latest album "OBEY" features tracks with pounding drum rhythms, synthesized arpeggios, great mellow vocals, and steady guitar workmanship.

In at least two or three songs from this album, I got a very BLACK LABEL SOCIETY vibe and found myself tapping my feet. The more traditional Doom Metal songs to be found present with a deep sense of awe and the piano track from "It's My Heart" is powerful and extracts raw emotion combined with the somber yet melodic tone of the singer. I personally identified with some lyrics and I could feel the melancholy energy given off.

I was very pleased overall with the variety in this album and the guys from Rome, Italy have provided an outstanding album for their fans.
