So you ask what we have here, ok It's not easy at all, according to the internet these guys are coming from Romania (cheers) and are doing a Progressive Metal, however it does seem like a loosen explanation of WHITE WALLS's music.

It took me at least three listens to get the grasp of WHITE WALLS's new album "Escape Artist" and I think that the name does indicate something about the album's direction of music. Like an "Escape Artist", it should be very flexible, diverse and smart. It seems that "Escape Artist" is in fact springy, miscellaneous and nifty, I will explain. These guys aren't really playing Progressive Metal, they do what I like to call Metal Music period. In the album each song is different and uses plenty of styles of Metal, even heading towards Stoner like the opening riff of "Loose Ends", some songs are slow and mellow and some are venturing into the Metalcore, Death ,and Black Metal realms. Try "Dead Heart" all parts (there are three) first two parts are mellow and the last part is Metalcore meets Black Metal meets the mellow combination done great. The Metalcore roots are obvious because the band rise upon the ashes of the guys all band that were a full blown Metalcore band. "Dead Heart"'s style combining spin around all over the album makes this one a very interesting album, I found it to be very exclusive and nice to listen with Eugen Brudaru on clear vocals does a great job. Made me surprised.

You should try this band, they do seem to know what they are doing.
