Noise Of Obstinacy
Whisper Of Death

The five-piece Death Metal band from France are fist deep into their latest record titled "Noise Of Obstinacy" with saw slashing riffs and bolting speeds, the band have collectively mastered 10 tracks to make up this record. With clear influences from CANNIBAL CORPSE and DYING FETUS, the band follows strongly in their footsteps of sound wise, pacing themselves up with menacing rhythms.
First track taken from the record, "Cadaveric Discharge" proves what they are all about with gushing movement that swarms your ear buds completely; you are slammed into a sea of angry waves. The track appears average and dull until it breaks its way into an extended piece added to the latter side of the track to enhance it's edginess. WHISPTER OF DEATH are yet another band with the language barrier of sinning in their mother tongue with no clear indication as to what is being said, this confusion adds to their Heavy rifting music.
With such basic tones and thrashing riffs, the band doesn't seem to have added their own remarkable sent to the record, as nothing stands out from the normal. With this level of talent, the album leaves me to disappointed ears, wanting something brand new and outrageous.
"OBF" provides us with some glimmer of hope with their midway breakdown that truly does send tingles everywhere. Packing such overfilled noise into a tiny section makes for an overpowering track, which is clearly shown. Certainty one to watch out for, an astonishing guitar solo is then placed to pick up the pace and surprise our ears even further. Before the track ends in utter clatter of darkness.
Carrying on this breakdown of noise, "Battlefield" highlights Clément's vocals to their absolute height, blasting the powerful tones echoed. With more attention to the instruments here, the track does add complexity to the record showing off even more of their Metal music. All in all, "Noise Of Obstinacy" does live up to its title, not quite distinguishing if it's good or bad yet.<
