We Fight Like Kids - Superficial Behaviour album cover

A five piece Post - Hardcore bands, straight out of the UK, sounds interesting right? Well it is, as described from the guys themselves they produce "a bespoke sound that fuses high- energy, fast, with dynamic drops complimented by heavy guitars and areas of light vs shade." Which I must admit, I agree to that 100%, they are exactly what they say they are. Through the EP you experience all different types of songs, which ranges from fast paced, melodic and just some Post - Hardcore tracks, yep, all of that in just 5 tracks.

Kicking off the EP we have "Falconer" now it starts off really weirdly, with some strange noises the kind you have when a band walks out when they are just about to start a live set. This then goes into a short drum intro from Liam before all the screams from vocalist Ant and guitars join in. For a starting track I think it's a good one to start, which because you get a sample of the talent of each musician. Then there are clean vocals mixed with unclean vocals which are something you get from most Post - Hardcore bands so they've definitely ticked that off the list. Next is "Tequilla Slammers" interesting name, there's a riff to start the song, if you think about it, it makes sense like the alcohol is giving you energy for an energetic start. The track then ends with a piano outro which is something you wouldn't but it's different, different is good.

"Select the Ejector" starts off with a sort of piano start, which makes a link between the previous tracks. It breaks up the EP a little, the songs before have had a straight in with an instrument vibe, this one is the same but with a much quieter instrument (depending on how you use it). The general feel to this song is that it's a much more melodic song compared to the others, which shows diversity within the band, but then it gets a little heavier before returning to its slow pace, implying that WE FIGHT LIKE KIDS are a band with different paces, and it conveys that they have the talent to do so.

The last two songs are "Ice Breakers" and "Creeper Complex" to sum them both up, they are different to each other. In "Ice Breakers" it starts with riff and it's almost fully unclean vocals throughout the song till you get to the end and there are clean vocals to finish it off. Then in "Creeper Complex" you have a quiet start and more of a 50/50 mix of clean and unclean vocals. It then ends with a piano outro and a repeated riff, till the guitar stops and then it's just the piano, before the piano fades and it's just static. It's like giving you a clue to say that there is more to come. You can clearly tell that these 5 guys are seriously talented; they have a lot to offer in the music world and I can't wait to see what they have next.
