Vomitory - Carnage Euphoria album cover

This is one of the times I really can't find the words to start a review. VOMITORY has been one of my favourite Death Metal bands ever and I was more than ecstatic to being able to listen and review their brand new offering Carnage Euphoria. I don't know how it will sound, but before I even listen to the album I was damn sure that it was going to kick ass. And do you know why? Because VOMITORY is not one of those fucked up bands who are still trying to find their musical identity. VOMITORY will stay forever true and fucking brutal as hell!

The Swedish warlords have been raising hell since 1989, which makes this release something like a gift for the band's fans. A special treat for VOMITORY's 20th anniversary! God, it has been so long since these guys started spreading the plague! As you can easily understand, having to meet everyone's expectations since this was something like a special release is a really hard task. You think? Fuck no! The Swedish beasts made it seem like it was a piece of cake! All hail Carnage Euphoria!

What can I really say about this album? The relentless brutality that flows through every song and snaps your fucking neck is just unbelievable! Two years after the also incredible Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize, VOMITORY return with one more Death Metal gem! Razor sharp guitars with professional, yet passionate riffing, pounding drums by the one and only Tobias Gustafsson (his playing in the GOD AMONG INSECTS debut still haunts me) and last but not least Rundqvist's earth shaking bass lines and bestial vocals create a Death Metal whirlwind that will destroy and desecrate everything in its way.

Pay attention and lock these words in you fucking mind... VOMITORY are what other Death Metal bands nowadays are not! True, honest, brutal and qualified to rip your fucking guts! Thank god these guys are still around to save the day for Metal Blade, which has been swamped with Metalcore crap! True fucking Death Metal from Sweden's finest butchers!
