Tattoos & Tequila

I don't think that I have much to say about Vince Neil. Probably all of you know well both him and his band MOTLEY CRUE. A huge band that created a new genre and influenced millions of other newer outfits. Well, as we know there were some books released during the past years such as "The Heroin Diaries" (Nikki Sixx), "The Dirt" (MOTLEY CRUE) and "Tommyland" (Tommy Lee). So who's coming next??
Vince's new book - under the name "Tattoos & Tequila" (which definitely represents his lifestyle) - is going to be released on September and this album is its soundtrack. It includes 9 covers of songs that influenced Vince during his life and 2 new songs called "Tattoos And Tequila" (which is the hit of the album and from the first time I listened to it I hated it) and "Another Bad Day" ,which as far as I'm concerned is a song that was supposed to be in MOTLEY CRUE's "New Tattoo" album but the other members of the band didn't want it... I can say that I find this song a great ballad.
Let's begin: "He's A Whore" from CHEAP TRICK, "Ac/Dc" from SWEET(pioneers of the Glam genre - the sound of this song reminds me so much of the early MOTLEY CRUE sound...) and then "Nobody's Fault" from AEROSMITH...just great songs!! Then: "No Feelings" from SEX PISTOLS, which is a kinda weird cover but I can say I find it interesting and I like it, and "Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress)", a cult 70s song from THE HOLLIES which - even though it sounds heavier - is still nice. Next comes the classic and beloved "Another Piece Of Meat" from SCORPIONS and then another classic 70s song: "Who Will Stop The Rain" from CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL (also known as CCR) which I can say I enjoyed pretty much. Then the very classic one "Viva Las Vegas" from ELVIS PRESLEY and then "Bitch Is Back" from ELTON JOHN which are also pretty nice. There's also a bonus track, ZZ TOP's "Beer Drinkers And Hell Raisers" which is again a kick-ass!
Generally I'm not a cover-lover but I enjoyed this album pretty much. What I like most about it is the fact that Vince has chosen different songs from many different genres and it's very good to have a cover-album with a variety of sounds. I need to say that I find it a very good work and most of you are gonna love it.
