Vials Of Hate - Scorched Horizons - DEMO album cover

Vials Of Hate sent in their warmonger greetings from Naousa, Greece. A lovely city I must say. Unfortunately the native surroundings don't seem to impress the band that much so they prefer war fields with endless body-counts. Well, I guess everyone makes choices in life. The band was formed in 2004 and this is their first Demo CD, that almost runs the duration of an actual album.
Technically speaking this is a Death Metal piece of work, mid tempo with some interesting ideas, some good riffs and really guttural vocal lines. Some kind of average Six Feet Under / Bolt Thrower version. Unfortunately the fact that the songs run in the same pace pretty much all the time makes listening to this Demo less interesting. Yes, I know it is very hard to have a good production outside the big cities but to be honest this is just an excuse nowadays. Book a studio for a couple of days in Athens, grab a car and be there in a few hours. It's not that the guys live on some kind of deserted island or something.
I am sorry to say this but I found no interest while listening to this Demo. Maybe it's a start and I should wait a bit to listen the band's next attempt (they mention that they're already working on new material) but I don't see a reason for this Demo's existence.
