Patterns Of Failure

VENOWL brought a cool idea to their full length album, yes this three track album is not an EP, this is full length. The album spans to almost an hour long with each song being more than ten minutes long and even the last one being more than twenty seven minutes. What do we talk about first, the concepts? The fact that each song is long enough to even put ENSLAVED to shame?
When you mix Doom Metal and Black Metal everything is going to get unreal, it's all just super long, insanely heavy and you kind of need to be stoned to truly get into it. Think of each song as three to ten separate songs, each song is well transitioned in itself to change tempo and change the feel so if you don't think about it too much each song will seem like they're a few of their own songs. Since there's only three songs I don't want to talk about to much and spoil your appetite for the album, "Hung Alive By The Ribs To The Gallows" was the strongest song(s) on this album, giving you a true idea of how doomy VENOWL can be, the intensity the band puts over you, the clouds of Doom Metal could depress Pee Wee Herman enough to commit suicide, just for an idea of how intensely Doom Metal these guys are.
Without saying to much more this is all you need to know, if you like Doom Metal or Black Metal enough to listen to insanely long songs, like me sometimes, or if you like to get stoned and listen to stuff like ENSLAVED then this is the perfect album for you. VENOWL will perfect your high and chances are you'll love this album.
