Since Poland started to offer extreme Metal names in the 90's, the eyes of maniacs turned to see what those lands could offer. Obviously, BEHEMOTH is the greatest name of the country in commercial terms, but the pioneers of VADER, the Groove Death Metal from DECAPITATED and the bone crushers of HATE showed that things could be a trademark of Extreme Metal from Poland. And UERBEROS comes to take this tradition onward with "Stand Over Your Grave", their latest release.

It's a brutal and aggressive form of Death Metal with the trademark from Polish School, always with very good technique. The grunts shows extreme low tunes, with a massive and nasty attack from the guitars, and a technical and brutal heavy massacre from bass guitar and drums. And their musical work is full of energy and life, with some personal touches that they impose into such chaotic mass that is unleashed by their music. And yes, this release is excellent to make ears bleed and to smash necks! Robert Wrożyna is the one who mixed and mastered the songs of "Stand Over Your Grave", creating something that is massive and bears all Death Metal features on an album's sonority. But as well, the sonority is modern, 'deathined' (allow this writer to use such word here) and in a way that can be understood by anyone.

The fast and massive massacre created by bass guitar and drums shown on "Levitation" and "Ruthless Execution", the thunderous grunts used on "Human Carcass" (very good tempos, indeed), the sharp arrow-riffs of "Stand Over Your Grave" (some bitter ambiances are really great), and the brutal impact created by the band on "To Make You Suffer!" are the right ones to make your ears turn into caustic mass of bloody shreds! And if you're a Death Metal fan, you're able to understand that these words mean that this album is really great!

Welcome to a massive and nasty onslaught, for "Stand Over Your Grave" is here to make the name of UERBEROS even greater than it is.
