Stop all of you right now, quiet down a bit and read the following carefully.

We must pay some respect to this Polish Metal band, for TURBO is an ancient band that endured hard times in their country. They started back in 1980, still in times old failed Communist regime, on a time when the Iron Curtain was very hard to live in, under the heavy and oppressive fist of shitty people like Yosef "genocide" Stalin, Leonid Brezhnev, and that red scum that destroyed liberty in the U.S.S.R. These guys are truly Metal and Liberty heroes. And it's an honor to your Ol' Big Daddy here to review their new album "The Fifth Element".

Obviously, it's the old and melodic way of doing traditional Heavy Metal with some old Hard Rock touches, in the vein of the end of 70's, beginning of 80's, with very good vocals, excellent guitar duo (both in riffs and solos), great bass playing and heavy drums. They really are doing nothing new, but hell, these guys are from 1980, before some famous band arose from underground, so, why do they need to reinvent the wheel?

A music pulsing with life and energy, with a very good sound production, that made their work sound clean, melodic and heavy, but not dated and with mold smell. It's alive and kicking!

So fine, with a good and homogeneous album, their best moments: "Think and Fight" (a fast and energetic hit, with great vocals and guitars), the mid tempo "Taste of Power" (where bass guitar shows a good work and some fine arrangements), the catching "Heart on the Pyre", the powerful songs "The Fifth Element" and "Smash the Wall" (both with great chorus and drumming), "Amalgam" (with some modern touches), and the excellent and charming "Blues Measured by the Clock Ticking", and the acoustic version for "Smash the Wall", an elegant bonus track.

So, now Ol' Big Daddy here knows why they're called as "The Polish IRON MAIDEN", besides they have a strong and bold personality.
