Usually, the Maldives is not known for bringing the music world any sort of Metal. I have never heard any other band coming out of this small country beforehand, but now I have found one and my eyes was widely open.  This little Island country has a metallic storm coming to show itself and bring its styling of Thrash for all to behold. This being is called TORMENTA.

TORMENTA is five-piece Old School styled Thrash outfit from this small country. With fury, passion and the drive to make great Metal music, they should quickly be a force to be reckoned with. With no-nonsense approach and talent, this band comes at you with all guns blazing while putting their little island on the metallic map.

The band's music sounds like a wonderful crossing of OVERKILL, TESTAMENT that met SLAYER-esque riffages. The end result will end up pounding you with some of the purest form of Metal in years. Once you check out songs like "Hang Drawn and Quartered" (Not the RAVEN cover) or the nasty riffing of "Judgement", it is pure Thrash that has been upped to the tenth degree. They are loaded with hooks and nasty guitar lines that will make any Metalhead happy.

TORMENTA have not made any leaps into new territory with this album, but they have made a Thrash album that stood up with any that has been released before. TORMENTA might have been a band that could have been overlooked because of where they are based, but I thank god that they were not after all. TORMENTA needs to be heard and to be appreciated.
