Some bands go through a grind and try all sort of weird and wonderful things, see TWISTED SISTER's documentary on Netflix if you want a perfect example of how long the process can take. Some bands, however, hit the scene with the right music at the right time and slingshot their way into the lime light. TOMORROW IS LOST is a band such as this.

The 5-piece group formed in 2017, hailing predominantly from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne they enjoyed an initial period of success, the only problem being that this period continues to this day. In their short life to date we have seen the group grow and as such become more of a household name on the New Wave scene. With some strong performances behind them at festivals such as Call Of The Wild and Bloodstock, and a signing with US based label Eclipse Records, which helped them to produce their most recent release they are continuing to enjoy the fruits of their hard labour.

The artwork for "Therapy" is interesting. It is both subtle and intricate at the same time, with a detailed image plastered over a celestial backing. I feel that one would notice something new about the imagery every time you were to look at it.

The introductory track, aptly titled "Intro" is not really noteworthy musically. However, it does create almost a sense of dread and discomfort. This is expertly done, as an individual requiring Therapy, you would find yourself most likely in this frame of mind and feeling a very similar way. Now I do not know if this was done intentionally to create this effect, however it is the way I perceive it to have been done.

Next, we come to "Wildchild". With a heavy opening run and mystical first glance at Cass's vocal skills. We are witness to the band's pure electrical energy, and it doesn't let up. The entire song is upbeat and bouncy, just encouraging movement and enthusiasm from any listener. The song is a great demonstration by Cass of her dynamic vocal skills and the power that she can project.

"Self Destruct" comes as a much gentler opening. With clean open chords provided by both Joe and Ryan who also offer an absolutely sublime solo later in the track. It is again a great example of the stylistic preferences of the band, which I found neatly summed up in an early interview with the Moshville website. we are very much just five people from five very different musical backgrounds who came into each other's lives under pretty strange circumstances, who have started making (in my opinion) pretty awesome, straight up rock songs'

With "Too Young To Know" we are again to see a gentle opening that shows the varying musical backgrounds of each member. With a country balladesque feel to the song you can see this being a fan favourite sing along at any future live show.

With the final and titular track, "Therapy", we come back to the electric energy of the earlier songs that is a perfect way to see out the album. With a bouncy rhythm and feel good vocal line we are exposed to a track, as with all the others on this album, that is instantly recognisable and infuriatingly catchy.

Overall, I would have to say that Tomorrow Is Lost have created a great album. In their music you can hear a likeness to some very well-established bands such as HALESTORM, FLYLEAF, and THE PRETTY RECKLESS. But they also have a very distinct and individual sound that is highly enjoyable. I think that they should be very proud of what they have produced and I look forward to catching them in concert!
