Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: THY SHADE; hailing from the United States Of America, performing Symphonic Metal - on their debut album entitled "The Last Goodbye". (released on June 17th, 2016)
Since formation in 2015; the quintet in question has only "The Last Goodbye" behind them. THY SHADE incorporate an enticing fusion of hauntingly compiled musicianship in a similar vain to that of NIGHTWISH; being a most recently formed quartet, it's nice to hear an unprecedented unity in which formulates unparalleled intricacy in their instrumentations. The album is filled with a dynamic range, and adapts by implementing all kinds of sub-genres composing complexity at its utmost fullest. Pianist elements fulfil an enlightening sense of mood and choir-like melodies from vocalist Diana Shade contribute nicely to the broad essence of the orchestrated drama, her cords mixes incredibly well with the instrumentation of Mane Cabrales on all guitars/bass/drums...so we have here a one-man army with the independence to compose an elegant record and showcases exquisite talent from this epic duo.
11 tracks ranging at around 43:45; extensively showcases complex songwriting that's made out of an intricate design, that elements at a nice slab of a memorable and original sound production. "Prelude", "Change" & "The Last Goodbye" open up the album; showcasing a distinct element that implements Diana Shade's fulfilling pianist adroitness, combined with an excellent range of harmonic vocal cords in which suits very well towards this enlightening piece of art. "Fantasy", "Adagio" & "Final Chapter" continue a swift and dexterous intention of compiling melodic instrumentation while being a formulaic groove machine; contrasting indifferences to that of similar artists. "Oh Divine Redeemer", "Dies Irae" & "Bring The Light Back" ascends with more of the aforementioned, implementing at an adept course of showmanship and musicianship intertwined with excelled craftsmanship from Mane Cabrales himself.
Concluding "The Last Goodbye" with the final 2 tracks "Inneggiamo" & "Pie Jesu" overall compels me to say that if you are looking for more efficiency to that of artists like WITHIN TEMPTATION, EVANESCENCE, and "EPICA" for instance – look no further, THY SHADE sufficiently examine the core enriches of Symphonic Metal...and deliver a succulent slice of divine material, contributing brilliantly to the sub-genre at hand.
Certainly a band that deserves the same status to that of the aforementioned similarities.<
