Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: THRONE OF HERESY; signed via The Sign Records, hailing from Swedish grounds - performing Death Metal, on their 3^rd album entitled "Decameron" (released November 3^rd, 2017).

Since formation in 2009; the quintet in question have 2 albums behind them, I'm introduced to their 3^rd album "Decameron". Delivering a solid slab of intricate Death Metal instrumentation and musicianship, THRONE OF HERESY arrange unique developments in their contributions to the Death Metal sub-genre at hand. 10 brutal tracks ranging at around 46:42; the quartet provide songwriting finesse that while its incredibly hard-hitting, it's also distinctively original and memorable - manifesting with an abundant amount of immeasurable talents. Opening with "The Shores Of Issyk-Kul"; I am immediately mesmerized with a blisteringly barbaric sound production that as a Death Metal enthusiast, I relish this new discovery already. Sinister and savage riffs from guitarist Lars Björkens distributes a succulent supply of organic solos and substances in the fretwork that's crushingly explosive & frighteningly thunderous all round.

"Pax Mongolic" establishes behemoth like pummeling from powerhouse crusher Mathias Westman who embellishes complex dexterity in which showcases consistent rhythms that efficiently swerve and swift with enlightening contrast. "Siege Of Caffa" fulfills with more sufficient cohesion, as vocalist Thomas Clifford flourishes with deep guttural growls and grunts that evolves with brute force and diligence. "The Plague Ships" is another mammoth of a track, as 2^nd guitarist Tomas Göransson chugs away with harmonic melodic riffs and collateral construction and performs with grit and storming precision. The titular track "Decameron" is colossal as bassist Björn Ahlqvist implements some monstrous, pounding proficiencies that are quite unprecedented with the atmosphere and brutality amalgamated...all members and tracks so far surprised me with their unparalleled characteristics and delight with an organic aesthetic with dominance.

"Liber Secretorum" integrates more blackening devastation while assimilating symbolic juxtapositions; raspy throat hooks that captivate me and keep me entertained and well-crafted melodic intensities make this one helluva jam. The 1:14 instrumental break "Jñrtecken" showcases a choir-like hymn with a primitive solo until the epic "A Silent Vigil" breaks in, more groovy beat-downs and vicious tension builds up with a fierce formulaic - the hasty side of the band comes in with full force here. "Alvastra" is a notable track that combines everything within the Blackened Death Metal sub-genre with prominent execution, while "The Pale Burden" concludes the record - overall compelling me to say that "Decameron" is a work of art, and THRONE OF HERESY outdone themselves with this one. If you're a devotee of the aforementioned genres, then this discovery will certainly be worth your time.<
