So far this year, I have heard a few releases from France and so far they've been a bit disappointing really, which is a shame, as I heard some good music from this country last year in 2014 so I hope that things will change in today's review, but then maybe they won't. I guess we won't know until we review it so off we go and the album in this review is "Lo-Fi Heroes" by THE ZOMBIE DANDIES and straight away the name makes me laugh, as it sounds silly, but you never know, the music could be good.

Originally from Normandy in France, this two person band, which straight away is already starting to worry me already have one EP out but that's more of a demo release showing what they can do and now they have a CD too, which is "Lo-Fi Heroes" and according to the bio on their Facebook, they had an unlikely idea of combining Glam Metal and Garage Rock, which does worry me, as I'm not a fan of the latter, having already reviewed a promo that did not wow me from a two piece Garage Rock band who by the way were from France.

So is this is a good release, or is the music as funny as the band's name? The answer to this question is the latter, as I'm laughing as I type this, but not because the music is good as it's the complete opposite. I'm laughing because this is so bad, my ears cannot believe what they are hearing and my brain is thinking "what the hell is this?", as there is a lot wrong with this including the cheap sounding production, the music which would have been better if the production was better and the vocals which are nothing really special as the singer is not really that good but all I can say is, thank god the songs are short and that the album is only 35 minutes long across 13 songs but that is enough as if there was any more then that, I'd probably score it lower and that I think is a good note on which to end this review as I really cannot think of anything else to say about this without getting even more critical then I already have done.<
