The Unity - Rise album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: THE UNITY; signed via Steamhammer/SPV Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Power Metal, on their 2nd album entitled: "Rise" (released 14th of September, 2018).

Since formation in 2016; the sextet in question have their debut album: "The Unity" in their discography so far; I am introduced to their 2nd record entitled: "Rise". 13 tracks ranging at around 57:25; THE UNITY arrange an intricately designed formula of heavy-hitting Power Metal developments, the 1:25 introduction "Revenge" begins the record with its deadly hymn of operatic melodies - until the battering "Last Betrayal" brings the chaotic mayhem with full force. Demonstrating blistering instrumentation and energetic musicianship, the band shines with constructively harmonic implementations which element a bouncy aesthetic with its boistrously catchy rhythms that inject an inventively relentless ramification to it - conveying a concretely distinctive slab of solid heaviness.

Consisting of Gianba Manenti on vocals; the frontman excels with clean, high-pitched pipes with a hint of raw roughness in the voice. The anthemic "You Got Me Wrong" distributes complex dexterity with catchy, and crunchy riffs and solos from guitar duo Henjo Richter & Stef E - rapidly swifting with nimble manifestations in which excels with flamboyant finesse and efficiently composed consistency which establishes a grandiose granduer of diverse dynamics and vehement variety. "The Storm" & "Road To Nowhere" establish elegantly meticulous orchestrations, stampeding with rampaging results and skillfully thunderous machinations. Hammering with profuse robustness; pummelling drummer Michael Ehré also excutes an organic substance of prodegious proficiencies.

"Welcome Home" embellishes on exquisite keyboardist amalgamations from Sascha Onnen, who converges dominately riveting songwriting salubriousness with the thumpy ultilizations and memorable originality. "All That Is Real" amplifies with audible, bassist contributions from powerhouse Jogi Sweers - showcasing diligent stability. My only gripe is the Power Metal sub-genre they use, if you are looking for MANOWAR maliciousness – look elsewhere, there is still a lot of entertaining enjoyment to discover, however. "No Hero" excels with more exhuberent rambunctiousness, assaulting with efficacious effectivity which onslaughts with detailed yet radio-friendly jumpiness. "The Willow Tree" contrasts with creatively captivating hooks, crafted with exciting grit.

"Above Everything" examines progressively technical tinkering, still portraying fluidly polished fabrications and frolicking with chugging gallops that generates a most groovy listen. "Children Of The Light" exemplifies with aforementioned attributes & characteristics, differentiated with similar components while still providing a most interesting listen. "Better Day" dispells the hostile savagery with enlightening & fulfilling positivity, still culminated with primitive bad-arsery - while "L.I.F.E." overall concludes "Rise" with an epicly battle hardened finale. Bottom line, the borderline foundation here has a silver lining of delightful dedication as THE UNITY certainly outdone themselves with this one - the artistry here is brilliant and compels me to say that the band will advance well with it, check it out.<
