Back in 2012, when I was starting my own site here in Brazil, I heard "Internal Affairs", the first album of the Swedish band THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA, and became in love with their music. Since then, I heard all their albums, and the last one, "Amber Galactic" seemed to be the peak of their musical creativeness. Just one year after it, their latest album, "Sometimes the World Ain't Enough", came to show me that any previous idea you can have about them is a loss of time.

If you still don't know the band, they are a side project of Björn Strid (SOILWORK's vocalist) and Sharlee D'Angelo (WITCHERY's bass player), but it's not an extreme Metal band. Far away from that, they play a form of music that will remind a lot the old days of the 70's, and let me tell you: it barely could be labeled as a Metal band. They play a mix between Rock 'n' Roll of the 70's with the Soul Music/Groove from Motown' artists. A musical genre that was success throughout the world during Disco Music days, but it is amazing, great and done with excellent melodies, and even some musical experiments can be heard, along fine instrumental and vocal parts. What I mean: even being just one year apart from "Amber Galactic", they hit the target again, creating one of the best albums of this year!

Sebastian Forslund (mixing) and Thomas "PLEC" Johansson (mastering) helped the band to create the perfect sound quality for the album, because it is a modern vision from the old sonority from the 70's. The album really sounds as we were into a discotheque place, but with the modern and right clean sound, and the use of the right instrumental tunes. It's perfect, just that. The presence of Åsa-Hanna Carlsson (cello), Anna Brygard and Anna-Mia Bonde on the backing vocals turns the songs even more tasteful. Do you want me to write about their best moments of "Sometimes the World Ain't Enough"? Are you kidding with me, my dears? This album don't have best songs, all of them are amazing!

I'll just mention some to make my editor-in-chief be far away from choking me, so the funny and melodic "This Time" with its excellent arrangements of bass guitar and drums, the tender melodies and charming keyboards parts of "Turn to Miami" (what a lovely and hooking chorus), the excellent Soul/Disco Music groove presented on "Paralyzed" (I am the one paralyzed here by this amazing wonderful song) and on "Sometimes the World Ain't Enough" (what great work from the vocals and backing vocals), the tender harmonies and atmosphere of "Moments of Thunder", the AOR touches of "Speedwagon" and of "Lovers in the Rain"... Well, enough of that, just put the album to play and have a good time, all the songs are amazing, and end of this talk!

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA is so amazing... So buy "Sometimes the World Ain't Enough" and be prepared to hear one of the greatest albums of this year. I'm not being a fan boy or exaggerating.
