This time I am looking for THE MEZMERIST a very interesting discovery that brought me back to the 80s. In fact, this one member project in the person of Tommy Mezmercardo, existed only through studio recordings between 1983 and 1985. And the nice surprise is that Bill Ward of BLACK SABBATH has participated as a session drummer.

The time period of 80 s has provided many bands that are influenced by the psychedelic wave. My analysis is confirmed with the intro "The Forsaken" mixing between voices and strange atmospheres."Mezmercardo" who provides the guitar parts with a very unconventional vocal style. And he put forward often solos and harmonies with long guitars parts arranged in a progressive manner.

The listening to this double EP "The Innocent, The forsaken, The Guilty" has a strange effect especially after the two songs "Dead Ones Cry No More" and "Arabian Nights". It is a mixture between LED ZEPPELIN, PINK FLOYD and BLACK SABBATH. A psychedelic mingling with rather fast and Heavy Metal rhythms, this is the definition that I found especially after listening to "Victim of Environmental Change" with still a lot of development on the guitars.

"Kingdom Of The Dead" is the first song recorded in 1985 it confirms my judgments about the appearance of Heavy Metal music in the style THE MEZMERIST especially with more determination on the parts of the battery by adding more technical the riffs. Music take a more direct way with "No Family, No Friends" and more accelerated tempos but keeping all the bases of style. "The Jam Song" is the last track, and it's kind of a long instrumental track featuring ahead the guitar side...
