The Lone Madman - Let The Night Come album cover

THE LONE MADMAN are a Doom Metal band from Helsinki, Finland, which formed in 2014. In 2016 they had released a single and an EP, titled "Soul Stillborn" and "The Dreary Task", respectively. Following these releases came their 4-tracks-long debut album, "Let The Night Come", which is due to release on October 25th, 2019 via Saturnal Records. It is a rather heavy album, which gives the listener that sort of walking through a cemetery at midnight, ready to make a sacrifice kind of vibe! The Doom Metal band have a unique sound style. This writer would highly recommend this record for the fans of HIGH INQUISITOR WOE and JOHN THE BAPTIST, just to name a few, and, overall, fans of Doom Metal alike are likely to enjoy "Let The Night Come".

Although there are only 4 tracks on the album, the songs are rather lengthy. The album reaches around the 42-minute mark, so this gives you an idea of track length. In my opinion, "The Downfall", the album's second track, a rather deep, dark and dreary song, is the best track of the album. The heavy guitar playing is really fine. A medium-paced, story-like track with heavy rifts. Most certainly an album for fans of Doom Metal, sure to provide 42 minutes of ear bleeding pleasure to the listener!

The Doom Metal quartet have brought something new in style to the Doom Metal scene. Although a lot of fans of the genre may not be particularly familiar with THE LONE MADMAN's work just yet, that's bound to change over the next few years. This writer is pretty certain that they will successfully reach a larger dedicated fan-base, as this album features some killer riffs and powerful vocals, and proves as a very enjoyable album to listen to.

In my opinion, this is an album for those who love the darker side of Doom Metal. An album which is fun to listen to with catchy lyrics and a musical style all of its own. One that will surely gain a lot of popularity over the next few months after release. THE LONE MADMAN are most certainly a band who are going places.
